Android Chrome PDF Plugin?

Hi there,
I'm visiting a website that displays PDFs two ways: some within iframes, and some within object/embed tags. Both versions render just fine on my desktop, but I can't see them on an Android tablet. In the iframe version doesn't appear at all, and the object/embed version shows "this plugin is not supported."

How do I get this tablet's browser (Chrome) to display the PDFs? I've checked settings and there's nothing about plugins anywhere that I can see.

My phone usually just opens the PDFs in QuickOffice (free download from Google).  I'm not sure about ones in iframes, but it has worked well for the ones I've run into.

I have QuickOffice on the tablet, but it doesn't appear to function as a browser plugin.

Now that I think about it, I'm not wedded to the chrome browser. If I can make this happen with, say, dolphin, that's fine too.

Why do you need it to open in the browser and not in a separate app like Quick Office?

The website simultaneously displays multiple documents as well as other content that resides on the site proper. Requiring the user to have multiple windows/apps open would be awkward (which is the whole point behind the site's structure and function), and impossible on an Android/iPad/etc.

The site works fine for me in my desktop browser, but I want to be able to use the site while on my Android tablet.

It seems that Dolphin is supposed to have a PDF add-on, but everywhere I look for it I hit a dead end.

I've had issues with some sites that might have been doing the same thing on my phone. Using Firefox has allowed me access to these sites. I do not know if this is the same problem, but you might as well give Firefox a shot and see if you can open the pages you are trying to view in it.

That did it!

Firefox does have a PDF viewer plugin. All is well.

Thanks!
