Nice article by Jen McCaffrey about the Sox Prospects site. Yet another reason to subscribe to The Athletic.

Real brief shoutout to SOSH in there. I wonder if Mike Andrews or any of the other owners of that site are members here?

"An avid reader of Red Sox fan sites like the Sons of Sam Horn and Boston Dirt Dogs, Andrews enjoyed poring over the message boards, conversing, obsessing and arguing with fellow rabid Boston fans about every aspect of the organization. But between those fan blogs and the more conventional local newspaper coverage of the Red Sox in the early 2000s, he noticed a void. No one was really touching on his biggest passion: Red Sox prospects."

Soxprospects is a really valuable resource, I'm glad they exist and are doing well.

I love soxprospects. Avid listener of the podcast, and occasional visitor to the boards. I probably go to the site a handful of times a month for updated rankings and individual prospect reports.

Andrews, Chris Hatfield, et al also do a nice job of establishing and cultivating connections within the FO, and usually have FO members on the pod several times a year.

Good for them.

I'm pretty sure he is/was a member. We used to have a few very serious crossover members. I think that I stopped going there when Eric Van showed up there so really stopped keeping tabs on the ongoings.

Wasn't amfox1 a moderator over there as well as active in our minor league forum? I've also noticed some same SOSH handles on their site

I love Sox Prospects and all they've provided for us!! It's basically nirvana for Sox minor league fans. But it's also a bit sad how this SOSH forum has fallen through the years. We used to have great discussions here but now they're so few and far between that I - and probably many other SOSHers - spend most time related to the Sox minor leagues over there
