You’re right, on both counts.I’m rooting for Minnesota. They probably deserve it the most among the 8 possibilities.
It is going to be Toronto though, I’m convinced of it.
I'm actually Fine with either Minny or Toronto.I’m rooting for Minnesota. They probably deserve it the most among the 8 possibilities.
It is going to be Toronto though, I’m convinced of it.
At least they were on track to be an actual lottery team.blech
Lol what?If I were NY I’d dangle the pick out there and see if Toronto would deal Matthews.
You are probably right, I was just spitballing. Toronto is probably going to shake things up this offseason. It's probably fair to say anyone is available outside of Matthews and Taveras. In a vacuum, Matthews is a player you would not think of moving but given his off the ice issue this past offseason that possibly could factor in whether he's the right guy to build around. If I was the Rangers, I'd have to be told no on him before I move on to somebody else.Lol what?
There’s zero chance Toronto trades Matthews for a LWer.
Marner or Nylander? Maybe. They’re not trading their franchise C.
Bettman served under Stern for 9 years. Just sayin'I can’t look away.
Gotta agree with the Cetacea guy here. It's stupid but is it offensive? They were talking about how younger teams specifically were faring better so far in the bubble, as they didn't have young families at home to be worried about, and was a chance to just bond with your teammates. Milbury chimed in there weren't even any women around to distract them...I was watching in real time, and while it was a somewhat clumsy wording, didn't really have a problem with it. I mean, he's technically not wrong, and I hate the guy and think he brings absolutely nothing to a broadcast.
Yes? It impliesGotta agree with the Cetacea guy here. It's stupid but is it offensive?
If the phrasing was the women distract the men, then yes. Women don’t exist in the world to active voice distract men.Gotta agree with the Cetacea guy here. It's stupid but is it offensive?
It’s stupid AND offensive.Gotta agree with the Cetacea guy here. It's stupid but is it offensive?
Definitely offensiveHe also commented earlier in the playoffs on the empty stadiums being like a women’s college game.
like his more recent comments there’s probably some truth if you don’t want to dig deep or have any introspection.
He’s made it clear how he feels about women in a general sense (not on a personal level). Lets see if nbc/nhl wants to go along with that.
Appreciate the input. It’s stupid AND offensive.
A distraction, you say?Today's Globe says he left on his own to avoid being a distraction and remains employed by NBC.
