I don't understand this deal from Cleveland's side. They pay $10mm, Bourn and Swisher for a no-upside player and virtually no salary relief (thanks to the $10mm they're throwing in). I think Bourn is the best player in the deal by far, in that he's the one most likely (this is a low bar) to start playing better after a change of scenery.

Wasn't Utley currently the longest tenured player who had played with a single team?

You've missed his last couple of years. His average and OBP skills aren't the best but he has some legitimate power.
