Redwood City, CA.  Hosting a couple friends from school and their families, serving wings, beer, and homemade apple cider.  I'm the only staunch Pats fan but no one else has a strong allegiance; my wife is conflicted because she grew up on the West Coast and has family in Seattle but I've more or less infected her with Patriotism.

Kittery, ME. Watching with equally die-hard neighbor/friend. Told other friends to not come over. Can't have any distractions.

Portland, OR.

Alone unless one of my housemates who don't shut up during sporting events and who doesn't care about the game is here, then I'll be sitting near an unconscious body.

New York, NY.  Friend's party in Midtown East.  She (the hostess) initially planned on only a small gathering, but late enthusiasm saw about 6 people RSVP Yes yesterday who hadn't even replied.  So now we're bringing folding chairs, and she's setting up a second TV - the place is going to be a zoo.  A refuge for Pats fans.  She's from DC but she went to Brandeis and, like tens of thousands of imported students each year, fell in love with Boston sports teams.

Mabrowndog's chili is currently cooking to bring over.  Shit is very shortly getting real.

Denver, CO.  Should be up in Breck, but it snowed and was too worried about missing the game to drive up this morning.

With my wife and 3 kids. (I can't watch BIG games with others). Standing the whole time. We all will be fully geared up and ready to have some fun. Go Pats!
Yeah, my husband really gets a work-out here in W Mass. He stood up and paced for almost the entire Ravens game. I hope that the Pats lead is so great you guys can snuggle down in your recliners. . .

p.s. I don't understand Super Bowl parties. How can you concentrate with all those people? It doesn't distract you?

At home in Andover, MA.  Watching the game with only one other person, my almost 7 year old son.  I'm a season ticket holder and have promised him that next season will be the time that I finally bring him to a game.  I'm hoping it'll be the opener, and he can watch them hoist the fourth banner in person with me too.

So he's Yankees and Patriots? What about basketball and hockey? Does he have any favorites in those?

Last super bowl I got a single on stubhub and ended up in the family section with the Ninkoviches. Nice people. Bad game.

Escaped Tacoma WA for Tucson AZ, where I'll be watching with my brother and family, while my niece is at the game in her Bruschi 54 jersey.

The 12th man can kiss my pasty white ass, and I hope all my friends back home in Sea/Tac have a lot of butthurt to deal with tomorrow.

Nope. Only those two. His father took him to a Yankees game at age six and he imprinted. His father didn't care about football, so he didn't develop a loyalty until he was an adult. He is insanely more intensely a Patriots fan than he is a Yankees fan, btw. And I care about the Patriots mostly because he cares so much. Geaux, Pats!

Corner of Arlington and Boylston at my in laws with my wife and three month old son. In laws and wife are Buffalonians and huge Bills fans so I'm praying for a win because I won't be able to listen to them trash the Pats.

Chili, nachos, and a roast on the menu.

Win it for my son, BB, and Brady

Warwick, RI. Last two times I went to a friend's house, and we all know how that turned out. Previous three I was parked on my couch. I know what I must do.

Boxborough MA
Boxborough MA, in the "temporary" postmarital apartment where I've lived for the past 20 years. My two oldest grandsons will probably be here, but they'll be too busy playing computer games to watch any football. WIn or lose, I'll take comfort as usual by wallowing in the game thread.

At my home in Dixmont, Maine, with my wife, kids, parents, and lots of good food and beer. The kids have been informed that if we win this game, we win "all of football" and are the champs. They are stoked, I expect nearly a full quarter of rapt attention to the game. Maybe more if there are enough dramatic-looking tackles.

Especially once you eat some of that chili.

Needham, MA. At home with wife and all four kids. My 9 year old son is (semi) interested for the first time. Hoping we watch #4 together tonight and it turns him into a die hard like his old man.

Nazareth, PA, I will just be getting home from coaching my son's hockey practice a little before game time, so no big party for us this year.  My son and I will be watching together and hopefully I will have a good reason to let him stay up late.

Same deal here. No more in-house watching: headin' to a bar for the first time. Good, loud vibes (and the drowning out of stoopid NBC commentary) welcome.

San Francisco, CA, out on the avenues, a bit west of OFT and fair bit north of Mr. Zarilla and the other posters here down on the peninsula.

If the Patriots win, there may be trouble in my neighborhood. And by trouble, I mean there may be traffic as all the casual fans leaving local superbowl parties, where they dined on kale salad and no-carb snacks, get trapped in traffic in their Teslas, Priuses (Priusi?!?!) and Smart Cars. I will go outside and laugh at them.

Johnstown, Colorado at my house. By myself. I had a super bowl party last time the Pats were in, and it was awful dealing with everyone while trying to watch the game. I just want to be by myself for this game. My wife won't even be home for it.

At the same damn SB party in Wayland, MA I've been going to for 15 years, with one year off when I went to Jacksonville. BTW, that place was completely flooded by Iggles fans, so I wouldn't worry the large contingent of Seattle fans this time.

Party typically has 40-50 people, mostly Jewish, mostly Pats fans, with a few Yankees-Giants fans who show up for god knows what reason. We all know who they are.

Anxiety slowly building, but I'm mostly feeling good. If they were playing the Giants again I would be a f**king mess.
