Answering my question: Nope.

One of these teams doesn't have any fans. Oh, and modern baseball mostly sucks. Openers? Everyone throwing 97+ or hitting dingers? The product sucks. Plus, there's tons of great stuff streaming these days.

I don't get the fascination with ratings. It's a good show most of the time and I watch. And it's not getting cancelled, like tv shows that nobody watches.

Don't get me wrong, I don't think ratings matter at all. Slash viewership in half and they're still going to play games. If I want to watch baseball it will be there. The players and owners probably get less rich in that scenario. They won't shut the league down though.
