Papi and Arod calling out the Dodgers on not using Buehler tonight.
He would have been on 3 days rest, now you have him twice on full rest in a five game (remaining) series, so, incorrect. Great players obv, wrong so often.

Morton vs Buehler and then another bullpen game for LA in Game 4. Not crazy to see Tampa going up 3-1.
Someone said it here yesterday, LA needs to win all four of their Kershaw/Buehler starts and TB needs the other three and to steal one of the first four. That’s held so far, pressure back on LA next game.

Urias is being saved for game 4, when he'll be on 5 days' rest off of that closing effort. Rays will probably bullpen it up though.

Do we have any idea who game 4 will be yet? Maybe Yarbrough/Urias as starters or bulk guys?

The Dodgers sure could have used David Price these last two series, but I thought that about Avery Bradley all postseason also and that LA team won anyway (thanks to a third Boston alum, Playoff Rondo).

Edit: Crosspost with DS.

I don't have a source on that, heard the FOX postgame show host say it. makes sense after he was not used tonight.

This Fox panel with ARod, Ortiz and Thomas is a giant word salad. The only worthwhile analysis being done is by Dontrelle Willis on his pitching segment. The rest is just cliches.

I mean, risking your whole season on Aaron Loup there with a well rested Castillo waiting and then having it work, that’s a rollercoaster for TB fans.

It was really smart for Cash to keep Loup in there, I thought, so DR would PH for Joc.

Loup was filthy. That sinker was freezing the hell out of the lefties. You absolutely leave him in with Rios and Pederson due up. Barnes beating him badly was unlikely.

I agree, but I also think it's because it's exactly what Fox wants. Serious analysis doesn't seem to be encouraged, with the notable exception of Smoltz, who is really good, even if he's an idiot off the field.

I don't understand why they played last night. I thought the Dodgers won the series 1-0.

Cash could have pulled Loup at end of 8, but since he started 9 he had to face at least 2 batters. That rule is so goofy.
That does seem like an odd quirk of the rule. I would think that once you finish an inning, you've fulfilled the requirement and would no longer be subject to the three batters.

Fox has the rights to televise the WS through 2028. I would really like to hear someone else besides Joe Buck do WS PBP. The NFL rotates among 3 networks yearly. Far better.
