I love Spittin' Chiclets, even though I hate Barstool.
What it is: two ex-players who understand and appreciate what it takes to play in the league, plus a (local Boston) Barstool hockey blogger. Their style is pretty self-deprecating and experiential, even though some of the stories can be very locker-room inappropriate. They get great interviews, they know a ton of current and ex-players, they cover the whole league, they are very funny and entertaining, and they are pretty prolific (two pods a week). Episode length typically runs 1.5-2 hours.
What it is not: heavy on modern hockey analytics and/or team-by-team analysis. They stick to covering the most recent set of games in-season, and tend towards future speculation and trends in the off season.
Perhaps of interest to you, CP, is that they will try to get broadcasters (either PBP and/or analysts) on the show every so often, from national figures like Doc Emrick and Ron McLean to local guys (the St. Louis Blue and TB Lightning PBP guys come to mind). In fact, it was an appearance by Jeremy Roenick that ultimately led him to being shitcanned by NBC.
