Good Super Bowl Sunday time killer.

Best dozen players not in the HOF, excluding recent retirees who will likely get in soon.

Here are my 12:

Cliff Branch
Stanley Morgan
Ken Anderson
Ken Riley
Roger Craig
Joe Jacoby
Jim Marshall
Tommy Nobis
Sam Mills
Clay Matthews

As a casual fan, all of those names strike me as belonging in the Hall of Very Good players. Tommy Nobis is the one who I think maybe belongs based on my memory of him having a huge impact on the field. I'm surprised Marshall isn't there as a member of the Purple People Eaters who made the classic wrong way run.

Hines Ward is definitely in the HOF.

I definitely don't know what I'm talking about. Good thread.

A soft spot for my old Rams teams in the 70s, but there are articles out there providing pretty good support for these two:
- Harold Jackson
- Isaiah Robertson

It's incredible that Sterling Sharpe isn't in.
He was well on his way before the neck injury but he only played 7 seasons. I think he easily gets in if he plays another 2-3 years. He was absolutely a top 4-5 WR for several years in the early 90s and he had to leave the game right before Favre's prime.

Sharpe had 3 all pros and more black ink than Megatron. Have a hard time seeing him out with TD and Megatron in. Sharpe had 78 AV in 7 seasons, Megatron with 93 in 9. He also probably should have been the all pro in 1994 over Cris Carter.
