Pulisic is the one Chelsea player who consistently looks like he belongs on this pitch.

Rodri's foot was inside the box, but looked like the contact w Werner was before Werner entered the box.
Wherever the foul happened, it would have been middle of the pack this year in terms of contact- far more than many of the penalties we’ve seen. I still don’t think it meets the threshold that deserves a 75%+ free shot at goal. I do not want to see those types of challenges penalized. It’s cheapened play and made defending a nightmare.

What has happened to Chelsea? Is Lamps under pressure. If City win as expected here that will be 4 points from the last 6 league matches for Chelsea.

Chelsea played nobody and ran up some points but they still haven’t really found how to fit all these attackers together. I think they’ll be fine it’s hard to piece a squad together but early results created expectations

What does 'fine' mean though? Do you think they'll get top 4, cos that's what fine means to me when i think of Chelsea. I agree with your post to some degree but i also know that you love to big up other teams when your team is humping them. It's one of the reasons i love you.

All of the European places look tight. I think they’ll be competing for them it’s hard to say anyone will get one. Obviously with the financial outlay they will want Cl but this league is ridiculous right now in terms of quality. If they let this team gel I think they’re top 4 next year but who knows if they’ll have the patience

Let's see if Gilmour can have a positive impact. I really hope he can realize his potential cos Scotland could have some much missed creativity with him, and john McGinn already doing bits.

The Chelsea attack is sort of comically organized. One guy with the ball and 6 others standing around waiting for the dribble that suits them.

You're down three goals at home to a big rival. At least make the keeper work. If you concede, cos you over committed, so be it, but make the keeper work. Show something.

Credit to City, who effectively won the match in the first half, but jeezo this has been abject from Chelsea.

Joke of a free kick given by Marriner to even set up the free kick, but an outstanding chip finish by Ings.

Clever & hard work form Salah, should have resulted in a free kick from the edge of the box.

It's the Andre Marriner show today - already threatening both Robertson and Thiago with second yellows for dissent

The Southampton press has been excellent at keeping the Liverpool fullback pinned back, limiting the forward passing options to the long ball or looking for Gini. Ox has been MIA - can't tell if he's not getting himself in to good spaces or if his teammate don't trust him.

Liverpool look like a team with a lot of tired legs - a step slow to second balls, not moving as well without the ball, lacking a little sharpness when on the ball.

Since battering Palace they have scored one goal in the last 225 league minutes. My guess is that hasn't happened too often under Klopp.

Another foul for Thiago - wouldn't mind having Shaqiri come on for him and maybe Jones for Oxlade-Chamberlain, I forgot he was even playing

Shaqiri sighting!

Shaqiri lives! And apparently has been cutting his own hair. Not quite the look.

The 718
Saints are hanging on for dear life now. But it's now 78'+ and as much as Pool are camped out in Soton final third and pumping in passes, they're not creating much that is truly threatening.

The 718
Walcott coming off. He's been doing well this season, seems revitalized by going back where he started.
