My first thought is that those reports about Brady having some issues with Bruce Arians must’ve been real and they worked it out somehow.
Could be related. Maybe he wanted to get out of TB because he knows he can't push him out. I bet he still doesn't want to play for Arians but has no choice.

Fuck yes. I don’t give a shit if it seems lame to unretire. He’s the fucking GOAT, I love watching him play, and I’m hyped he’s still playing
Yeah, frankly, that's how I feel. Like... I don't want to watch him suck. That would depress me. But if he's still playing at this level? Goddamn right I want to watch him.

The audacity of this man. Who does he think he is? The greatest fucking player of all time or something?

Very happy about this. Added bonus he won’t go into the hall with Big Ben now. That was really bothering me

Just don’t get hurt or go 2015 Peyton and I’ll be fine with however this plays out.

I have no problem with him playing and was upset when he retired. It's the game of retirement charades that is lame.
By calling it charades, you're intimating that it was all a put on. Do you know something we don't?

Sometimes the realities of a decision aren't clear until that decision is made, no matter how much we've thought about it.

I kept saying to everyone I knew that I didn’t believe he was really done until games started next year without him on the field. This is completely unsurprising. I welcome seeing him play one more year.

I have to say I am disappointed he is pulling a Favre. Especially if his retirement was a ploy. I don't respect that and won't be able to root for him going forward. I wonder if Giselle is really behind this. I had heard that she was very concerned with him getting an injury, especially to the head, that will affect him the rest of his life. As a woman (and a wife) I feel for her if she is really not behind this.

Keeps Gronk out of Buffalo I assume.

Sort of annoyed he didn’t mention the Patriots in his announcement though.

Why announce this in the middle of Selection Sunday? A pretty big dick move.
lolwut - wait, I've decided you're pulling my leg. Right? You have to be.

There literally aren't any games being played. It's... the middle of a televised bureaucratic selection process? Not a dick move.

Right? Fucking with the NCAA and the shitshow ESPN selection show? That's a feature not a bug.

I think he’s an attention whore, like most great athletes, but the NFC is basically the Rams then meh, so fuck it. Watching him Brett Favre himself is interesting, but if it keeps Gronk from Buffalo then cool.

Edit- He fucking did this on the night 60 Minutes was interviewing Pete Buttigieg? Woooow what fuck face.

This. Is. Amazing.

And the good news for all the national pundits, when he retires again and only thanks TB and his family, they just just change the date on their outrage pieces and just run them next year again. Very kind of TB12 to be considerate of those media folk.

Please, please tell me this is one of the sarcastic ones. FTR, I don’t think it was a ploy, though I don’t know, and I don’t believe we ever will. For me this is a “Who cares? Awesome!” moment. I’m sorry Tom’s behavior over less than a month and a half has somehow overcome the twenty plus years of joy he presumably brought you.

Huh? What are you talking about? Should he mention it at 3 AM on a Tuesday?
Delay it 30 mins. It’s a Sunday afternoon - who gives a fuck when he posts it. Let college kids live their dream without being ignored.

Edit: it doesn’t matter in that scheme of things but just tone deaf to me. But he’s a QB so par the course.

It's pretty amazing that he's going to be playing QB at age 45. Wonder if we'll see another QB play at a high level at that age ever again.
