Yes. Let us not forget it is tradition for the home team's owners to host the commish on the eve of the game.
As long as your kids aren't Bengal babies.Grew up in NE; married a Pittsburgher; lived there for three years and Steelers won 2 Super Bowls; only time I don't root for the Steelers is when they face the Pats. My wife and I will end up watching in separate rooms..
Screw Denver, bring on the Steelers at home.
Jinx! I made the same stupid decision two years ago, but the Pats went to Denver and lost in the AFC Title Game.Fuck me sideways. I booked a trip to Orlando for me and the kids last week for Feb 5th to the 9th and just realized the SB is in that window. If anyone can recommend a kid friendly place to watch the game down there PM me please. Or post it here, I don't care either way. FUCK.
Shit. Pulling for Pittsburgh even harder now. We don't need some twisted ribocostanza orgy of dejavuJinx! I made the same stupid decision two years ago, but the Pats went to Denver and lost in the AFC Title Game.
I planned a first date with this hot chick for the night of the Tuck Rule game. Five minutes later, I was like...FUCK! She temporarily blinded me with her beauty.Fuck me sideways. It's amazing fans of other NFL teams don't hate us more than they do.10 AFCG during the Belichick/Brady era including the past five. Let that sink in a bit.
Just so I'm clear here, roughly four weeks before the Super Bowl with the Patriots being the #2 seed in the AFC you booked this trip? Not last summer, but last week? As the Patriots face a first round bye with an extra week to get healthy and prepare to host a divisional game? Andy Reid laughs at your clock managing skillsFuck me sideways. Disney world isn't a bad place to watch the game, at least if you're staying in one of the Disney hotels. We were there ten years ago during Super Bowl XL and the hotel had a Super Bowl party. We watched the end of the game there, but the best part was that the park was empty during the game. No lines for anything, it was great. And, if they still have players go to Disney world after the game, someone from the winning team will be in a parade in the Magic Kingdom on Monday.Fuck me sideways. Yep. The original intent was to book something during February school vacation but I hopped on Google flights and was seduced by the $167 round trip tickets earlier in the month. My cheapness made me temporarily stupid. Unless you know of some way to add hours in a day to the standard 24, I think they're pretty much topped out. It's amazing fans of other NFL teams don't hate us more than they do.

Maybe cheapness is a sense.Yep. The original intent was to book something during February school vacation but I hopped on Google flights and was seduced by the $167 round trip tickets earlier in the month. My cheapness made me temporarily stupid. (Here's where you all think, temporarily?)
Yes and no. Last year, the Super Bowl was on February 1st.(the earliest it can ever be due to Labor Day being on the 1st of Sept) This year it's the 7th, which is the latest it can be, due to Labor Day being Sept 7th. Still, Costanza could have checked. You know the Super Bowl will be the first week of February. It's the Super Bowl George. You know they schedule it ahead of time. It's the same day every year. It's not a surprise.

That said, I've been away for the Super Bowl in previous years and it's kind of awesome.
Is it always on Sunday, though? I think I recall an early Wednesday morning game a few years back. The first Sunday in February
Especially when your team has been in 6 of them recently. I specifically booked my week in Florida the week before the Super Bowl to kill time before the Pats play.Is it always on Sunday, though? I think I recall an early Wednesday morning game a few years back.
Seriously though, how is it that there are NFL fans who haven't figured out that the SB is always played on the first Sunday in February?
I was hoping to see Malcolm Butler last year when I went to Disney World in the days after the Super Bowl, but unfortunately it seems that the winner goes to Disneyland when the game is played in the western part of the country. I'd expect that to be the case again this year with the game in Santa Clara. Which will be nice, because Brady will be able to bring his entire family with him. And, if they still have players go to Disney world after the game, someone from the winning team will be in a parade in the Magic Kingdom on Monday.
That makes sense. I saw Hines Ward and Jerome Bettis at Disney World the day after the SB in 2006, but the game was in Detroit that year.I was hoping to see Malcolm Butler last year when I went to Disney World in the days after the Super Bowl, but unfortunately it seems that the winner goes to Disneyland when the game is played in the western part of the country. He left the game with an injury in the middle of the 4th quarter. And I'm guessing his snaps were down before that due to the focus on containing Smith.Chandler Jones only played 36 snaps?
I watched a very different game than you did if you think he only showed up for 3. A sack, forced fumble and a few pressures, and a contain gameplay all before his knee injury is very, very different than what you said above. On the field for that. He only showed up on about 3. Really weak game for all the stuff he was supposed to be motivated about.
He caused only turnover and had only sack.On the field for that. He only showed up on about 3. Really weak game for all the stuff he was supposed to be motivated about.
I don't see how that play is at all comparable to Burfect. He hit him in the shoulder and it's debatable if it was even illegal. It was a hard hit sure but BB and Amendola said today the play was clean and BB teaches them to do it.Anyone else waiting to hear about a possible suspension for Amendola for AFC Championship? His hit on that punt was almost as bad as the Burfict hit (helmet to helmet on a player absolutely not expecting to get blown the fuck up), and while he's obviously not a repeat offender, I'm sure the NFL would have no problem making one of the Patriots' better weapons unavailable next weekend.
Brady only showed up for like 2 throwing TDs too. The fact that he was way off on all of those dropped passes is similar to Jones 'falling' on Smith for the sack. He was supposed to motivated. Guess not.He caused the only turnover, and he fell on Smith after Smith was tripped by his lineman. He also tackled Mayo? on the missed sack for the long completion, and he had almost no pressure throughout the whole game.
Silliness. Denver is not the Yankees and the Pats are not the 04 Sox trying to break a "curse."Fuck it - 2004 simply would not have been the same without sticking it to the MFY's, so bring on the Broncos. Knock Peyton out of the game, harass the Brockstar until he melts into a puddle of blubbering goo and punch another ticket to the Super Bowl on their field.
He punched the ball out. It was the play that changed the game from the Chiefs chasing one score to them having to chase 2 scores. He was around the only turnover (video https://www.nfl.com/embed/video?videoUrl=http://a.video.nfl.com//films/2015/GAME_HIGHLIGHT/in-game-highlight/NFLCOM/REG/19/160116_nfl_wk19_patriots_recover_knile_davis_fumble_392098_3200k.mp4
seems to show ball coming out just as Jones grazes him), but the sack was phantom: he fell on Smith after Smith was tripped by his lineman. He had almost no pressure throughout the whole game, and one of the few pressures he missed sack for the long completion.
Moreover, saying Jones had almost no pressures is completely wrong and does not take into account gameplan as it relates to how the Patriots played pocket contain throughout. Add in the fact that Jones was doubled or chipped at the line at times and we have a very different look at how he played instead of barely showing up.He punched the ball out. It was the play that changed the game from the Chiefs chasing one score to them having to chase 2 scores.
And blaming Jones and apparently just Jones for that one long completion is rather odd.
Logical take. There's no way Amendola gets suspended. It was a hit to the shoulder that, were it not for the dramatic fall-down by the other guy, wouldn't have even been flagged.
It looks to me, despite Fouts's comments, that Amendolas helmet was pretty much right on the shoulder pad of the other player. If Carey was right in his second comment, that the penalty was for a crack back block, I see no suspension possible.Anyone else waiting to hear about a possible suspension for Amendola for AFC Championship? His hit on that punt was almost as bad as the Burfict hit (helmet to helmet on a player absolutely not expecting to get blown the fuck up), and while he's obviously not a repeat offender, I'm sure the NFL would have no problem making one of the Patriots' better weapons unavailable next weekend.
No such method. It's based on the TV networks.Would it be correct to assume that the Divisional Round game schedule is based on seeding, meaning the a 1-seed Pats would have played tonight instead yesterday? Or is there no such method?
Silliness. Denver is not the Yankees and the Pats are not the 04 Sox trying to break a "curse."
The two teams both have their strengths, but I'll take a home game at a normal altitude with friendlier refs every time.
Peyton has beaten the Pats the last 2 times the teams have played in the playoffs. Obviously, neither the 2006 or 2013 depleted squads were that good so it would be nice to see a relatively healthy Pats team hand him a painful loss.Thank you. We've beaten Peyton before, repeatedly. Let him lose yet another first playoff game and give the Pats home field.
