Took my daughter to her 1st Bruins game, and my first time ever sitting front row. We were right by the bruins bench and good guys Marchy and Pasta both gave her a puck. Will post some pics.

I don’t think that I have ever seen a son of a former NHL player be this dumb of a hockey player.
Dumb or apathetic, I don’t know. I do know he is missing all the warning signs and is going to play his way off a top squad with HoF talent to a second tier one. Sooner than he realizes, I expect.

Totally irresponsible conjecture but, based on observation and experience, his erratic, up and down compete level could be characteristic of a depressive or a drinker. Dunno, but unfortunately these are very, very stubborn traits that stand out in very stark contrast to the brief flashes of his A game.

Of a depressive or a drinker? Maybe he is lazy. Maybe he isnt that good. Maybe he doesn't get the game at a pro level. Maybe he wishes he played baseball.

C'mon man (or woman). You are speculating on 2 mental health issues - depression and addiction - and often they overlap. You do acknowledge it is irresponsible, which it really is. He may have mental health diagnoses, but throwing out uneducated opinions only serves to further the taboo around mental health issues.

Precisely why I qualified it as I did.

On a message board.

In a game thread.

With a tone devoid of ridicule or condescension and that alluded to personal experience with both.

But thanks for the misplaced opprobrium, regardless.

Hey man, I'm sure you're not against MH issues, most people here are very supportive. Regardless of GT or qualifiers, it is large jump. We culled a lot of bad stuff in Sox game threads 10-15 years ago.

Just saying we can do better overall as that large a jump is very uh tricky. And if Debrusk is struggling with depression or addiction issues it should not be mocked (not saying you did). Just feels like it was a bridge too far.

This is in a dead GT, just my thoughts and no need to continue here, Again, i dont think you meant it as it came across to me, but as a general principle we, as a community, should be mindful.
