You can tell he was mad at the refs by the way he calmly stood behind the bench and said nothing.
The important thing is that we can review if a skate is offside by an inch to negate a goal that happened 35 seconds later. Priorities.
What I really want to know is, is this lack of pushback coming from Cassidy? Or is everyone in that room soft? How the fuck do you let that happen and not respond. That’s unacceptable. They should release like 3-4 guys tomorrow.

No response to that action at the beginning of the game is totally unacceptable. I'd be shocked if Neely isn't reading Cassidy and Sweeney the riot act tonight. Krug was protecting Nordstrom last night, crazy. Sweeney needs to fix the roster makeup now, that's his job.
I don't think Studnicka is a tough guy but in general I agree.
Simmonds is old. He shoulda been out of the game years ago. But he can't go home because he hates his wife!

Loved Wayne Train, but no thanks on giving up anything but a waiver claim and having a corresponding Miller move (if he's done) to make him cap neutral at worst.
They don't defend their teammates unless it's Chara. They have a 6'4 220 lb stiff who contributes nothing offensively, but whose gloves somehow stay glued on.
There are guys playing in the LNAH and ECHL who can stay upright on skates and match Ritchie's effectiveness. This isn't a hard problem to solve, and it doesn't include giving up assets for it.

Yeah I’d have Ritchie on waivers at noon today and Frederic in the lineup tomorrow. If a guy who is fighting to stay in the NHL can’t be bothered to stick up for a teammate then see you later.
Glad that dead weight is gone. Poor talent evaluation by Sweeney and his team on this stiff.
