Chara could go on IR too.

I'm curious to see if this is an extended look at Khoklachev or if this is a tempory kick in the pants for the team after last night's debacle. Koko has certainly lit it up in the A.

I wish they'd end the Gagne Experience and call up Pastrnak.

If they call Pastrnak up, I believe it will burn a year of his ELC. They are likely looking to have him play the full year in Providence, and only call him up on an emergency basis which I do not believe will burn a year of his ELC.

I also would imagine they are calling him up to replace Fraser on the 3rd line most likely. Why not give the kid a real shot to produce with Carl and Loui?

I don't think we see Pastrnak this year either, but I do believe they still get the 10-game look without burning the ELC year. He's got off the charts skill, but his all around game needs a lot of work. He's headed to the WJC's next month anyway.

I would think Koko centers Lucic and Griffith tonight and Kelly goes back with the Swedes. Koko played with Griffith last year so there is some familiarity between them and it would make sense to put them together. The question will be who sits- Fraser or Gagne?

I'd rather they scratch Gagne and call up Spooner. He has responded well to the move to LW, only to be passed over by the B's in lieu of Khokhlachev.

His trade value is also dropping every day he spends in the AHL despite his relatively young age. With Krejci on the shelf, I'd have loved to see this:

Lucic - Söderberg - Eriksson
Spooner - Bergeron - Smith
Marchand - Khokhlachev - Griffith
Paille - Campbell - Kelly
Fraser/Gagne

I can get behind almost all of this, except swap Marchand and Spooner. If you want to go young on the third line go all in and don't break up one of the best second lines in the business.

Spare forward for the trip to Columbus. Marchand isn't traveling so that leaves 12 healthy forwards. 1 extra never hurts, especially with Krejci still in limbo although he appears to be back to normal having gotten through the Blues game and the two practices since. Another scenario would be the flu. As far as I know everyone was accounted for at practice today but I Hamilton did miss yesterday with the flu so I wouldn't rule out that going around the room.

Kid looked real good last night. The obvious SO clincher was huge, but he had quite a few nice plays throughout the game.

Depth up the middle is certainly there with this team. He just needs to find a winger that can finish.

He looked like any rookie* in his first few NHL games in that he not yet adjusted to the speed and flow of the NHL game.  His last shift of the game was the scrambly shift in the Bruins' zone that led to the tying goal.  But the talent was obvious.  Early on he had a sick move to recover a loose puck and feed Griffith in the slot (though he held the puck too long and could not get a shot off). Later on he slipped a hit on the left wing boards and set up Lucic in the slot.  Clearly has a chance to be a good top 6 player.

* Except for Patrice Bergeron, who looked like a veteran player from game 1.
