It took literally 20 seconds in the third for Montreal to get away with a cheap shot.

Fuck this team so god damned much.

That thug Ryan Spooner with a match penalty. The refs know this isn't the Bell Centre right?

Krejci cut wide open, no call, Marchand cold cocked, no call, Lady Byng Spooner gets an inexplicable match penalty and Bergeron's goal is bewilderingly disallowed. What did I miss?

Belesky's illegal check to the head penalty where he hit Emelin in the shoulder and Morrow going for high sticking when he hit Weise in the collarbone.

Horseshit game by the Bruins, I don't want to let them off the hook because they didn't deserve to win, but this is the kind of game where you really start to question your sanity as a fan.  What the hell was going on with the refs?  My god.

As for the Bruins.  Irwin and Miller both need to sit.  I'd rather see Tommy Cross at this point (not sure if I'm kidding) and Jimmy Hayes is completely invisible.  Awesome that Reilly Smith had 2 goals tonight.  Eeesh.

This team has no shot on Monday unless a lot changes between now and then.

Which Miller do you mean? I thought Colin was good, at least with the puck - almost always he knew where to go with it.

Also think Krug as #1 has not yet been a problem.

Relying so heavily on Irwin/McQuaid/KMiller/Morrow has been the problem, and at least there is some hope in that regard (Chara coming back, Morrow hopefully maturing with experience).

On the other hand, the third line has been mostly absent and we appear to have just lost our most productive winger.

Boston must lose for Auston Matthews
2015-2016 Bruins: Tanking in Boston for a chance to draft Auston
Why? So they can trade him 3 years?

Definitely Kevan.  Colin was very promising tonight.  The wheels are very real and his first pass is fantastic.  Morrow has also looked awesome.  In a vaccuum those developments would be very exciting but Kevan Miller, Irwin, Trotman and even McQuaid have been pretty bad so far and its kept them hemmed into their own zone quite a bit.  Morrow and Miller was the only pairing that consistently was able to transition the puck quickly.

Agreed on the third line, they look terrible.  Spooner and Connolly appear to be getting involved with zero results but I've come away very unimpressed with Hayes through 2 games.

edit- Also I thought Talbot looked pretty good and played with some fire tonight.  I wasn't expecting that.
