Rask in net, no forward changes. Cassidy said they may make a change on D but they hadn't made a final decision. Cassidy also said Grzelyck is not ready for tonight, but they are targeting Sunday for his return. That means we could get the Steve Kampfer experience tonight, unless I'm forgetting someone or they snick Miller into NY and feel he's OK.

Marchand - Bergeron - Pastrnak
Ritchie - Coyle - Smith
Bjork - Studnicka - DeBrusk
Frederic - Kuraly - Wagner

Vaakanainen - McAvoy
Zboril - Carlo
Moore? - Clifton? - Kampfer?

Rask

The last thing we need after last night’s 3rd period is the Steve Kampfer Experience.

This is not what they mean when they say you want the game to slow down for you.

I still feel like no one is skating and everyone is trying to dangle through guys like it’s men’s league but hey at least it worked that time.

In the last 9 games the Bruins have scored 2 goals or less in regulation in 7 of them. The only 2 times they scored more than 2 were the Pasta hat tricks. It’s either he goes off or hope they hold the opponent to 1.

I don’t think it is a personnel problem. I think the staff needs to take a look at the system. It’s too defensive. Loosen up the D, give them more rope. The offensive work is basically Coyle around the boards, get to to the point where the D more laterally a bit and then it’s either throw it back down the boards or float a wrist shot.

They don’t have enough finish around the net but the problem is on the back end right now.

The defensive play is embarrassing. Getting beat to pucks isn’t the system. Getting muscles off pucks isn’t the system. Lazily letting forwards skate past you isn’t the system.

This. The defense isn’t a system thing. It’s the defenseman either being to soft, too young and scared shitless. Or just shit like Moore. They should rip that fucking A right off Carlos shirt after this one. He’s getting rag dolled by 5 ft 9 guys out there.

I’m talking about the offensive system, not defense.

right here
Someone on Twitter pointed out that after Sunday’s game they‘ll have played twice as many games at Madison Square Garden than they have at TD Garden in February. During a pandemic which means doing nothing but sitting in hotel rooms while on the road.
Their top 2 left D are out
Their 2nd pair right D is out
Their 2nd line center is out

I guess my point is I’m willing to give them a bit of a break.
