If anyone wants to buy a block of games, let me know. Face value (full season ticket plan holder price, so much cheaper than box office), 1st row balcony section section 322. Time to load up the spreadsheet and take a look at the home game slate.

As a SoCal resident, it sucks always waiting so long for them to come, but the 2/28 LAK, 3/1 Ducks, 3/3 Vegas is a nice swing that I am going to block off the calendar for — plays nicely into a “Sorry Honey, Bruins are playing Thursday in Vegas so I have to go a day early. . . . “ narrative

Detroit as a city is underrated. Beer was cheap too, at least in the Joe. Can’t imagine the Hot N Ready’s are too expensive.

If anyone has leads on the games around X-Mas, I’m happy to pay. Looking for 3-4 tickets. Guess my FiL hasn’t been to the Garden and lives in Miami, so trying to check that one off for him.

I think my confusion on this is a sign that I'm getting old.

So... there is no Center Ice this year, but if I have my Disney+ with ESPN+ package, I mostly don't have to worry about it. Except for the games that are on actual ESPN, which isn't covered in the ESPN+ package, for which I need to get some kind of cable service provider.

I think so, but not certain. So don't quote me!!!!

but maybe you get even those ESPN games... otherwise it's hard to read that exclusive 75 games in anyway that makes sense...

So the real question is the 28 ESPN games and the 50 TNT games as the ones that are out of the ESPN+ package? Who owns TNT these days?

I don't know, that reads to me like ESPN+ won't have the exclusive ESPN games. For reference, I am unable to watch Sunday Night Baseball on ESPN with my ESPN+ sub, because it's a different service. And also really annoying.

Looks like it's probably back to Sling or YTTV starting next month.

Yeah I think you're right in that summation.

And for what it's worth, I've had ESPN+ this year for a few events and it's been awesome. Very excited for the NHL games to be on there, and the Hulu/Disney+/ESPN+ bundle might be the best value of all the streaming services right now.

Yeah.. I haven't found a way to upgrade to all three without losing out on the 3 year pre-launch price for Disney + when it first launched... which I have till november 2022... so i'll just add ESPN+ for now

It appears so... that second quote I have above links to NHL.com and their "where to stream" page. It no longer mentions Center Ice. I don't think it exists in the US anymore. If you are outside the us, that link also lays out your options.

ESPN is only "free" if you are paying for another streaming service, though. You can't just go to ESPN and watch their live content, or am I totally off base on this?

Yes, you need a username and password from a cable/satellite/live streaming service to access them within the espn app and you only get access to the ESPN channels in your package.

So if I'm reading that right there are 5 games on ESPN+ and one of them will also be on ABC? Guess I won't be watching 4 games.

More I read, it's really unclear if Center Ice still exists in some form for Cable/DirecTv subscribers (I don't subscribe to any cable at all just internet).

Like if you go on Xfintiy's website it talks about "coming back in the fall for pricing on NHL center ice". Not sure if that's an old cached page or if it will still exist.

So now I think Center Ice will still exist for people that already have ESPN through cable so you can get out of market games but you will now lose those 75 games that are ESPN+ exclusive.

For me, who had NHL.tv (which was just center ice with a different name really), I only have ESPN+ as an option now.

If I have figured this all out correctly.

ESPN+ is such a good deal now, as much as I hate to admit it.

So the only thing the Center Ice people would be missing are whatever teams are in those 75 ESPN+ exclusives or what are those exclusive from?

and yes... this is actually worth it for me as I'm basically paying less than what I paid for NHL.tv and I am getting a bunch of other sports and stuff on top of it.

I think you'd only be able to watch those 75 games on ESPN+ and not the teams RSN's. So the Bruins games among those 75 wouldn't be on NESN and you'd need to subscribe to ESPN+ to see them and while subscribed you would have access to all of the other games similar to Center Ice not exclusive to ABC or TNT.

The TNT exclusive games would be handled the same way and no version of them would be available on ESPN+ (or RSN's) only TNT and their app with cable/sat/live streaming subscription login credentials.

Can anyone explain why the Bruins last preseason game is on the Oct. 6 and their first regular season game is on Oct. 16? While opening night is on the 12th?

I think that I understand the regular season stuff - I have YouTubetv right now and was planning on switching to Fubo so that I can get NESN and watch the bulk of the regular season games there, or on Hulu/ESPN+. I am curious about the playoffs after the first round, though - Fubo doesn't carry TNT, TBS, etc. so, does anyone know if I'll be able to access Bruins playoff games if I move to Fubo? This is all making my head spin.
