I don't need to wait for a 2015 Game thread forum. I don't need to read any more of that complete tripe in the Bruins point prediction thread. The Bruins haven't even played one game and I'm sick of the nancyism all over the board. Yes, they traded Dougie. Yes, they traded Lucic. Opinions on both differ. Yes, they willfully traded a 3rd round pick for a complete no-talent hack who likely won't finish the season with the team. Life doesn't always break the way you want to, but you dust yourself off and get up and fight again. This is the new beginning. It's game one and the Bruins are going to win everything. They will win every game, every shift, every faceoff, and the Bruins will be ready to beat the piss out of anyone who disagrees. And, I don't know about you, but I had asparagus last night and I don't feel like urinating all over myself because I'm not willing to believe in this team. Asparagus pee stinks, kind of like some of your attitudes going into this season.
Their top two forward lines are very very good, and our third line has the most natural talent it has had in a long time. Sure, the defense is inexeperienced. I was inexperienced before taking out some of your moms on the town and showing them how to live. The only way to get experienced is to get in there and conquer that ass.
Thursday night, it's time to conquer some ass. Put down your nancy hats, take off your nancy dresses, and get ready for an entertaining season.;
Just win.

  - the rallying cry of the 2015-16 Boston Bruins. Doesn't quite roll off the tongue like Protect the Civic. But play the hand you're dealt and all that.

Also - HOCKEY'S BACK!

Hopefully this game (and season) ends better than it did for the revolutionaries.

This thread has renewed my faith in.... something.

Definitely not in Rinaldo, though.  Either way, starting the season off with a win would be nice.

Hey look Hockey's back.  This year I have two things to cheer for Bruins victories and Rinaldo blowing out a knee or some other career ending injury before he goes all Rafi Torres and stains the uniform.

You can't say Nancy anymore. It goes against the PC code of SoSH.

Does this mean the mods will demand a pubic apology? Because if so, I can preempt it.

"I apologize to the nancies of SoSH for being offended by my use of the term 'nancy'. I intended only a public shaming of those who suck at life, and are so pessimistic that Eeyore the fucking Donkey would be deemed an optimist by comparison".

Does that help? I'll suspend myself from Twitter for the next 10 minutes just in case.

The Jets roster is down to 10 former Thrashers, with another (Chiarot) a Thrasher draft pick that never played with the big club.
The previous longest serving member of the franchise, Jim Slater has taken his 59% dot success to the Swiss league. Alex Burmistrov is back with the club after two years in the KHL. He's been moved from center to wing.

Perhaps the most astonishing stat is that the old Thrasher first line remains intact. Ladd, Little, and Wheeler. Enstrom, Byfuglien, Stuart, Pavelec, Thorburn, and Postma round out the former Thrashers still on the Jets.

Our five best passers on one PP unit.  That could work.

I'm hopeful, but honestly have no idea how B-H-C is going to work as a line or on the PP.

Do we think it's a bruised hip, or a cracked/bruised rib, or something? From the clip that's all I can really come up with. I really don't want to witness another long stretch of hobbled Chara.

Agreed, cato, I would much rather they hold him out until he is at 100%, rather than have him try to come back early and extend or worsen the injury.  We saw last year that a non-healthy Chara is no longer as elite as he used to be, so I say get as many kids some early season experience as they can.

And win tonight.

Saw 2 Belesky jerseys on the way in. That might be the upset of the night. Wonder if it was family.

Some 'Peg fans in the house. Will likely be a theme for the season. Le sigh.
I'm not sure I want Winnipeg fans in the building all season.
