Vaakanainen in for Krug. Same forward group as Sunday, not sure if there will be any line shuffling. Grzelyck takes over Krug’s PP spot.

Marchand - Bergeron - Pastrnak
Heinen - Krejci - Coyle
Bjork - Lindholm - Senyshyn
Nordstrom - Kuraly - Wagner

Chara - McAvoy
Grzelyck - Carlo
Vaakanainen - Clifton

Rask

It is early but feels like an important game with the Toronto/Washington back to back looming this weekend. Win.

I do not understand saddling Bjork and Senyshyn with Lindholm. Just a waste of all 3 players imo. I’d rather put Coyle between them and Kuraly on Krejci’s RW and Lindholm with Nordstrom and Wagner.

Agreed, especially considering how well they looked in Montreal.

Cassidy said the reason they are doing it is because they A) have always planned on getting a look at Coyle on Krejci’s RW and B) Lindholm winds up without a home if they leave Coyle at center. I don’t really agree, on the second point. They could put Nordstrom on the 2nd line with Krejci and Heinen and then Lindholm with Kuraly and Wagner. It is not really ideal but Nordstrom played there last season when they were figuring things out. They could survive a game or two before DeBrusk and Ritchie return.

So what’s the deal with them not doing Cochise when the Bruins come on the ice this year? Back in Black kind of blows to get the crowd in any way excited to start the game.

Of course their first shift was a great one.

Gryz is lucky. Bad hit on Boyle from behind there.
Did it look at all like Boyle went down super easy there? Trying to accentuate the hit? Would like to see a replay but it looked a bit to me like he left his feet a bit to make the most of that hit.

Brick calling out Jack’s stupidity. Good stuff.
I’m shutting off the audio. It’s insufferable. The Bruins should be short handed out of that exchange. Pasta barely got hit and had a healthy embellishment.

Just poor effort and lazy hockey by Coyle on that goal.

He fools dmen with it too. The shot he had before the TV time-out was just that. Dman thought he was going wide, gave him an inch of space with outside leverage which he used to get a shot from inside the blue line a little above the top of the dots.
