Here
Brady hurt his calf. We don't know how severe. We wait, anticipate, panic (Felger adds to this), laugh nerviously, and comisserate.

Grace be with you (and also with you). In the name of Tom Brady we pray.

Meanwhile, Felger is claiming from his two unnamed unconfirmed sources that Brady has a torn calf.

So there are your angles for now, I guess.

All things considered, this does not add to my excitement for the upcoming year

You've never seen a Pats injury report, huh?

I have, but Brady plays through everything (broken ribs, shoulder injury, broken foot, 104 degree temperature, much more I'm sure), so I figured maybe the injury bears watching. If he does have a minor tear, I'd expect he'd play through it. It's just a question of how it affects his play. I figured since it's sure to be such a big focus, it's worth having a thread for. It's already in a few threads.

Maybe Bill is just pissed that Gronk announced he was playing so he needed another angle to disrupt the Dolphins preparation.

"Uh Tom, take the day off. Stay away from the facility and don't answer your phone or use social media."

Hoping.

Is the Felger thing serious?  Hopefully nothing but, to be honest, if Brady was going to miss the game and I was the Pats Id go out of my way to leak that he's fine under the circumstances.

Man its going to suck if we end up with Thompson taking snaps at QB (not likely, but would be frustrating given talent)

I'm no doctor but have experienced calf cramps and a pull once. Brady would 100% positively not be able to play with a partially torn calf......he wouldn't even have full range of motion to walk, never mind run (for a week or two at minimum), nevermind play in an NFL game. Any docs on here can confirm this I am certain.

Next conspiracy theory - Maybe Brady's Molly test also came back positive and Bill negotiated for Brady to miss 4 games Michael Jordan missed-season style to uphold his reputation?

Don't recall Brady ever missing two straight practices outside of 2008, guess we'll know more tomorrow morning.

EDIT: Line has moved 1.5 points in the Dolphins favor, so gambling market not certain Brady is playing.

It almost sounds like they are certain they he won't otherwise the game would be completely off the board until there was a definitive answer.

Let the Jimmy Era begin!!!

Or it sounds like they don't know shit but since so many people are going into a frenzy about it right now they are trying to get some action on the Dolphins.

If it's something serious, it had to have happened sometime very recently or else I imagine Mr. Mallett would still be here.   Anyone know when Felger or anyone else is claiming it happened?

I'm wary of Pats -5 but I'd tease that if and only if it got to -3 or so. Week 1 is hard enough as it is. Honestly does anyone love Pats -5 there week 1? Like? Tease? Please?

With Brady I like the Pats and might throw them in a pleaser.

Unless something has changed (and it hasn't for like a decade), Weds is offense day, Thursday is defense day.

Brady taking a day off from practice while the new backup QB learns to run the scout team and gets his a few reps with the starters just in case.

Nothing to see here. Move along.

Didn't Moss usually sit out Wednesday practices? I thought that was defense day .

Belichick trolling here would be so classic.

Brady said he's fine and playing Sunday.

Might be the week to look for a unicorn with two injured Pats openly commenting on playing status.

So obvious someone made the same joke 12 hours ago in a thread far, far away. But executed better, so you win the internet points.

I knew it was B.S. the whole time and yet I still had to keep checking it just in case.

BB smiles and nods. Another successful trolling of the fanbase in the books.

Its not really an injury report trolling, Brady doesn't miss practice with injury report trolls.
