#Patriots announce Tom Brady missed practice with calf injury. Brady still expected to start Sunday in season opener.

Brady was not on initial injury report. We'll see if that changes today. Regardless, source says he will be ready Sunday, as 1 would expect.

I'm no doctor but have experienced calf cramps and a pull once. Brady would 100% positively not be able to play with a partially torn calf......he wouldn't even have full range of motion to walk, never mind run (for a week or two at minimum), nevermind play in an NFL game. Any docs on here can confirm this I am certain.Ed Hillel said:
I have, but Brady plays through everything (broken ribs, shoulder injury, broken foot, 104 degree temperature, much more I'm sure), so I figured maybe the injury bears watching. If he does have a minor tear, I'd expect he'd play through it. It's just a question of how it affects his play. I figured since it's sure to be such a big focus, it's worth having a thread for. It's already in a few threads.
It almost sounds like they are certain they he won't otherwise the game would be completely off the board until there was a definitive answer.Stitch01 said:Don't recall Brady ever missing two straight practices outside of 2008, guess we'll know more tomorrow morning.
EDIT: Line has moved 1.5 points in the Dolphins favor, so gambling market not certain Brady is playing.

Let the Jimmy Era begin!!!

With Brady I like the Pats and might throw them in a pleaser.SMU_Sox said:I'm wary of Pats -5 but I'd tease that if and only if it got to -3 or so. Week 1 is hard enough as it is. Honestly does anyone love Pats -5 there week 1? Like? Tease? Please?

How serious is #Patriots QB Tom Brady’s calf injury? Source says it’s nothing that’ll keep him out Sunday. He’ll play.

Brady taking a day off from practice while the new backup QB learns to run the scout team and gets his a few reps with the starters just in case.
Nothing to see here. Move along.
Belichick trolling here would be so classic.soxfan121 said:Unless something has changed (and it hasn't for like a decade), Weds is offense day, Thursday is defense day.

Well, following the morphology, the original was 'Watergate-gate'riboflav said:
