It looks good, but they cut into some pricey seats there.
Those were often my go to "medium priced" good seats. Not as $$$$ as foul line or dugout, not as cheap as bleachers, but a nice view. But I bet the last 4 or 5 rows in those sections don't often fill up.

Looks "finished" to me. Left center looks like a mini-Fenway triangle tbh. There will definitely be some interesting plays to be made in that area.

It's like that age-old conundrum: If you remove seats in which no one ever sat, did they ever exist at all?

I don't get it. I thought chicks dig the long ball. What problem does this solve?
Camden Yards had the most home runs last season, and over the past three seasons. Per the Baltimore Sun article posted above, "in the three seasons since Elias and assistant general manager for analytics Sig Mejdal took over the Orioles’ baseball operations to lead an organization-wide rebuild, there have been 72 more home runs hit at Camden Yards than any other ballpark, a difference as wide as that of the stadiums that rank second and 13th."

Right...In the summer the ball flies out of there, but I don't see that as a problem. Or maybe they need better pitchers.

This is also going to add doubles and triples, and maybe injuries. Seems pretty clunky.

Remember back in the 70s when stadiums all went cookie-cutter symmetrical? Now every stadium needs to have its own unique angles and nooks and crannies.

During the offseason the O's moved their LF wall back 30 feet, and we are starting to finally see photos of the "finished" product

that left field indent seems to make the stadium look like a something made in the Show,
What a crappy looking stadium, specifically the general sea of seats in the lower deck to the left and right, just as stale looking as stale can be.

The concourse in right looks somewhat good with the old school warehouse type structure behind it.

The rest of it....................and people moan about Fenway.

I don't get it.

I was sitting in those seats once when Donnie Sadler hit a HR off Mike Mussina. Carried way over my head and even from there you could see the smoke coming out of Mussina's ears, he was so pissed. One of 6 homers in Sadler's MLB career.

I just looked it up and it was September 17, 1998. Sadler's two-run shot in the top of the seventh tied the game at 2 and the Sox went on to win 3-2 in 10 innings.

So, yeah, I have at least one good memory of those seats.

They could move the fences back to the Inner Harbor and that staff still couldn't keep people in the yard.

Strong disagree. Camden is a beautiful ballpark in person. One of my favorites.

Co-signed. I think it is my #2 favorite after Fenway. Certainly, other newer stadiums have started to surpass the stadiums built in the 1990's with respect to amenities and even look and feel, but Camden is the place that started it all and has held up really nicely in my opinion.

Ditto. Haven't been since 2013, but I loved it both weekends I spent there. These changes don't seem to affect the aesthetic too much, other than trying to keep their staff from getting mauled quite as badly by the rest of the division. Of all the newer ones I've been to, only Pittsburgh impressed me more.

I thought Wrigley was a dump but ymmv. It was also 40 and raining last game I was at there so yea.
Oh, it's not comfortable for sure. But the 2 times I was there(both before the recent renovations) were 2 of the most fun days I've ever had at a ballpark. Just dug the whole vibe of the crowd and neighborhood.

Yep. Formerly top-2 in my book, it was so successful that it inspired the new-school park movement (Skydome was considered peak ballpark aesthetics until Camden turned that all on its head). It's been surpassed by a few of the parks it inspired (e.g. Pittsburgh and San Franciso), but it's still probably top-5 for me.

People moan about Fenway because it's a terrible ballpark. It's solidly bottom third in MLB, and has a case for bottom 5. When you're looking at the sea of seats, notice how they're all facing the right way and they're not behind giant poles obstructing the view. That's how it's supposed to be. The fact that fans need to consult a site like Precise Seating before buying Red Sox tickets and pay the most in the majors for the privilege of sitting in the terrible seats shows what a dump Fenway is.

You are a wise and perceptive individual.......................been there a number of times, it's a beautiful ballpark and great venue from which to view a game.

As opposed to the lipstick on a pig dump of a stadium the Red Sox play in.

I used to do several collectible shows in the VA/MD area, always made a point of catching a game there along with the 17 other Orioles fans in attendance, didn't matter who they were playing, a day at the ballpark, specifically one like that can't be beat.
