Don't want to go back in time, but I can't see Jonathan, Secord, O'Reilly or Wensink standing for any of this shit the Caps pulled tonight.

It was 40 years ago today when they went into the stands at Madison Square Garden.

I understand nobody going after Wilson because Ritchie shouldn't see the ice and they literally have nobody else with Chara / Miller out that can step to him.

Not going after Oshie after that cheapshot is inexcusable.

I didn't think the Oshie hit was that bad... *ducks*

And it's clear - Chara is their enforcer now.

The fact that Richie was on the ice with Oshie after that hit and did nothing is inexcusable.

In a vacuum? Sure

In the context of a 3 goal game with a minute and a half less than a minute to go, after the refs had clearly already lost control of the game? He's gotta be answering for that

I am a lurker. So I do not post very often. After all the posts about Jack and his commentary. Yes he is over the top. Then to have the same people call for old time hockey justice? At the very end of the game? Which one is it? Keep the officials accountable. It is not supposed to happen in todays game with video review etc. Oh and make them explain themselves. BTW in my perfect world Stan Jonathan would do a Pierre Bouchard on Tom Wilson. Excuse the rant. Hey we won.

I absolutely want a response on Oshie but they were in a tough spot. The Bergeron line was on the ice, plus McAvoy (down and out) and either Grzelyck or Moore, I didn’t catch McAvoy’s D partner. Bergy and Pastrnak are not suited to respond (and I don’t want either fighting) and Marchand would be punching way uphill. Best we could’ve hoped for was Marchand pig pile on Oshie but McAvoy’s underneath and in trouble.

The way the league is now, Chara’s got to be the de facto enforcer. He probably would’ve fought Wilson or someone before things got out of hand. The Caps are like the only team you may need a heavy against and unfortunately we didn’t have one.

Very glad we got the win, first of all. It's clear the answer to beat the Bruins is rough up the skill guys. We saw in the Stanley Cup finals, and last night, that we don't have the personnel to fight back against the heavy teams. And the Tom Wilson's of the world will end some careers before the NHL wakes up. Good win. I hope we don't meet again.
