Have we heard where the 5th banner is going to go?

Seems like a waste they had the 3 banners on the walkways, then redid them 2 years ago to be up by the scoreboard, but there's no more room. I doubt they awkwardly hang it on the light house by itself.

Whomever's doing the screen printing for the Pats lately is getting some good business. 4 new banners, a TB12 banner, then redoing all the banners to fit them somewhere else

True story: I once knew a guy who bought a fifth car, a Porsche, just to have a fun sports car to drive (after owning a truck, Lexus SUV, and matching BMW coups). The problem was he only had a four car garage, so one always had to be parked outside on his large driveway.

That was fun. Interesting that just 6 of the 37 TDs Welker had in a Pats' uniform were when the Pats were trailing. I suppose it is a natural byproduct of the Pats being ahead of opponents most of the time (Pats had a 77% winning percentage while Welker was on the roster).

This was surprising- What three teams have the Patriots defeated the most times in their history?

1. Bills 70-43-1
2. Jets 61-54-1
3. Colts 51-29
4. Dolphins 50-53

This is probably the last year this is true.

Hard for me to believe, or remember, that after the AFL NFL merger and the Colts were put in the AFC East Johnny Unitas was on the Colts for three more seasons. Just don't think of Johnny U as an AFC East player and going against the Pats twice a year. Of course, he was getting near the end.

No AFC East team has swept the Pats in a season series since 2000, when Miami and New York did it. Conversely, over the last 16 years the Pats have swept the Bills 12 times, the Jets 8 and the Dolphins 6

It's been a while since I've read Peter King, so maybe that's his normal, but my god is there a lot of nonsense in there.

The Patriots have dominated the division because teams respect them too much? The Patriots treat every team they play like they're some sort of mashup of the 85 Bears and 2007 Patriots - "[5th string WR] is a dynamic player who gives them a lot of different looks. We've had a lot of trouble covering him in the past"

How about the fact that rather than improving, other teams in the division seem to just think it's "Their turn".

La Mancha.
Only one AFCE team has won more games in a season than the NEP during the 2001-present era.

Counting the playoffs, the NYJ in 2002 and 2009.

That's just coach speak. You never beat somebody if you think they are unbeatable. Every coach from high school up that take over a team with a dominant rival begins with the idea the asskickings are going to end. Gene Keady took over Purdue and said losing to Indiana was going to stop, Theo wanted to topple the Yankees, etc. Of course these things are easier said than done, but you have to begin by believing.

That is a fantastic video. Love the man. How anyone can misunderstand his integrity and professionalism is baffling.

It was interesting to hear him talk about how much he values dependability. He said he would rather go down with a dependable guy who isn't the most skilled guy than the reverse and he has been burned by putting too much responsibility on guys who were skilled, but not dependable. Fits in nicely with the do your job philosophy and firms up why players like Collins get shipped out despite their physical abilities.

Either Damien Woody or Andy Katzenmoyer. It really could have been either one.

Only part I didn't like was when Belichick was talking about Edelman's amazing catch, and the accompanying picture was Edelman catching an easy pass.

Could have been Terry Glenn. Or Tebucky. Or possibly even Willie or Ty Law.

It was Katzenmoyer. Apparently it was in War Room
After talking about quarterback Tom Brady being a “special player to coach,” Belichick highlighted what he values in players: “It’s not all about talent. It’s about dependability, consistency and being able to improve. If you work hard and you’re coachable, and you understand what you need to do, you can improve.”
Dependability presumes availability.

This is interesting. From Reiss. A quote from Urban Meyer. Who knows how true...

"I'm always amazed how he takes the non-stars and makes them stars," Meyer said. "He takes these players that you haven't really heard much about and all of a sudden they're making great plays in the biggest games of the year.

"I started asking him about it and he made this point to me and I shared this with our team. He said, 'At this point in my career, I want to coach guys I like. I want to coach guys I want to be around and that's it and 'I'm not going to coach anybody else.'"

Have not seen the Meyer quote before, but it rings true from life experience.

I'm well into middle age, though younger than BB who turns 65 tomorrow. I thought as I grew older that I would have more patience. True as to some things, but glaringly wrong when it comes to dealing with problem people.

You've accomplished certain things in your career and life, and more than once have been burned by chasing fool's gold. You reach the conclusion that life is too short to be around knuckleheads, people who present situations that stress you out or piss you off. To the extent possible, you drive these people from your life.
