Would people feel a lot differently about Turner + McDermott than Turner + Lamb? Enough to swing from Nay to Yay?
Has Turner+Lamb been the rumored return? My GodWould people feel a lot differently about Turner + McDermott than Turner + Lamb? Enough to swing from Nay to Yay?
I think it can just be Turner now after the Kanter trade.Has Turner+Lamb been the rumored return? My God
I haven't even been thinking about what Boston would have to take in addition to Turner.
I’m not a cap expert, but unless Hayward resigns for $20mn or less, I don’t see how this is true.
That would be such a get.
Yeah, because it's definitely not TJ Warren giving them pause.LOL. I mean if they're not even willing to let go of Aaron Holiday that means that the Take it or leave it!!! offer is Hayward and three #1s for Turner and Lamb.
Would you not be doing cartwheels for TJ Warren and Aaron Holiday? I think that's a heist for Hayward, all things considered. Much better than Myles Turner and Jeremy Lamb.I mean the story does actually say that Indiana considers both guys untouchable. So it will still be hilarious when Pritchard screws this up despite Hayward literally moving to Indianapolis in preparation for being a Pacer.
I think the hope from here is crappy offers involving Turner eventually include picks too.I mean everyone would like Warren and Aaron Holiday for Hayward. But the New York writer did say that the Pacers weren't interested in giving up either guy. Which means that Pritchard is holding steady to Boston fixing his payroll issues and giving him Hayward.
As he should, I wouldn't make that deal if I was Atlanta. I wouldn't let Aaron Holiday stop me from acquiring Hayward either though.I mean everyone would like Warren and Aaron Holiday for Hayward. Kanter doesn't affect anything. It matters how much money Hayward makes.I think it can just be Turner now after the Kanter trade.
If Hayward wants to sign with the Knicks, he's free to do so. I wish him well. If Pritchard wants to land a guy he literally can't sign, then he needs to trade for Gordo. Boston's doing him the favor, not the reverse. As he should, I wouldn't make that deal if I was Atlanta. I wouldn't let Aaron Holiday stop me from acquiring Hayward either though.
Mark Bartelstein has to be pissed that the only way he can get Hayward where he wants to go is via an MLE contract.
Cool. Now what are we getting?
It's not a favor if it cost TJ Warren. If Holiday is the hold up, sure.If Hayward wants to sign with the Knicks, he's free to do so. I wish him well. If Pritchard wants to land a guy he literally can't sign, then he needs to trade for Gordo. Boston's doing him the favor, not the reverse.
It's a favor if he really wants Hayward. If he doesn't he should just tell Gordo "Sorry, dude, when we told you a few months ago that we wanted to sign you we lied." I mean if these assets that he wants to trade are so awesome, surely he can get something worthwhile for them. It's not a favor if it cost TJ Warren. If Holiday is the hold up, sure.
Also, if we can have TJ Warren with no Holiday, we should be making that trade. Aaron Holiday is a decent player but he shouldn't be holding up anything.
Are you ok with TJ Warren if it comes attached to Myles Turner? Just Warren + Turner for Hayward? It's a favor if he really wants Hayward. If he doesn't he should just tell Gordo "Sorry, dude, when we told you a few months ago that we wanted to sign you we lied." LOL, Danny...
Looks like pretty standard negotiating. Seems like they’ll get there, Pritchardness/Aingeness aside.
Turner and either Warren or Oladipo would be killer. That would be a nice holiday present.Predicted that, though it was obvious with how the contracts added up.
Turner
Warren
Tatum
Brown
Walker
with Smart off the bench. Damn, man. Or Theis, with Turner off the bench if that's your thing.
I'd have put the chances of that happening at 0%. Here's hoping.
I'm not sure who the better fit is or who I would pick. I think Oladipo, but I'd have a hard time passing on Warren. I kinda want Aaron Holiday in the deal now just because.Turner and either Warren or Oladipo would be killer. That would be a nice holiday present.
I fear our holiday present will be Turner and HolidayTurner and either Warren or Oladipo would be killer. That would be a nice holiday present.
Pretty sure you mean Turner, Warren and Holiday but yeah. It works for Hayward and Pritchard. I predicted it earlier jokingly but now it's looking like maybe?I fear our holiday present will be Turner and Holiday
Warren's is benefitting from serious helium due to his bubble run, but if you believe he is a good bet to match his season numbers from last year as a whole, you take that and run. Dipo is on the last year of his deal, coming off a significant injury, with only a single great season to his name. If he rebuilds his value, you can't pay him without killing the luxury tax. If he doesn't, we lose him and don't have enough cap room to sign anyone else - effectively just delaying this scenario by a year with little hope for a S&T.I'm not sure who the better fit is or who I would pick. So...you’re saying that ANYTHING IS POSSIBLE....?Woj said it's not out of the question that Hayward comes back to Boston as well. He also said Hayward is open to S&T scenarios around the league other than Indiana.
I said it earlier, but it wasn't just last year. He was great the previous year too, though in a limited season. I think the bubble run is actually causing people to overlook what he did prior to it.Warren's is benefitting from serious helium due to his bubble run, but if you believe he is a good bet to match his season numbers from last year as a whole, you take that and run. Yup. Oladipo would be a huge get. Imagine a close out line up Turner, Tatum, Brown, Oladipo, Smart. If Danny gets Oladipo for a departing-anyway Hayward, I’ll build him a statue in my backyard.
It hasn't been very long since he returned either. He returned on 1/29 and it takes awhile to get back to peak form.I'm no expert, but understand Oladipo never really returned to form after coming back from his significant injury. Maybe a matter of time, but also maybe he'll never be what he was.
I initially read that as Warren OR Holliday OR Oladipo, and could not figure out how those three guys have the same value.
The same could be said for Hayward.I'm no expert, but understand Oladipo never really returned to form after coming back from his significant injury. Maybe a matter of time, but also maybe he'll never be what he was.
