The first 30 minutes of the Lowe Post is just Zach destroying the Nets. It's amazing content if you don't like Brooklyn.

He was throwing heat.

The part where he throws his hands up and says ‘hey maybe some franchises really are just cursed’ was good stuff.
Yup, I highly recommend it for anyone that enjoyed the spectacle of the Nets collapse (he gets plenty of shots in on Philly as well). It's one thing to hear Chuck or Stephen A blast Brooklyn, or a Celtics fan like Simmons trash them, but to hear a relatively unbiased, well-sourced media member firmly outside the hot-take bubble just annihilate the Nets was something to see.

Even better is the Glue Guys podcast. They’re a Brooklyn Nets podcast put out by The Athletic. It’s pure schadenfreude gold.

Begin with their series preview podcast, where they kind of assume they’re headed to the Finals,
and just work your way through each game summary. I found it strangely fascinating to listen to these guys just crumble and flip from “high on Kyrie and KD” to loathing the whole Nets experience.

Trust me, it’s worth it.

Lowe may hide it well most of the time, but he grew up a Celtics diehard, and is still very much a big fan.

He just never lets it cloud his opinions, and like you said, far from a hot take guy.

Didn't he once say it got harder for him to be a diehard fan once he started covering the whole league really closely?

Agree that he seems to enjoy Celtics success, and he seems to be getting really excited about the current iteration of the team. Also was one of the first national guys to notice the passing leap Tatum made this year, even when assist numbers weren't reflecting it fully yet.

He did say that, but you can tell that he still follows the Celtics closely. It would be interesting to analyze his “10 things” columns to see which teams get mentioned more frequently.
I used to actively seek out his columns on Celtics Hub and was not surprised when he got hired by SI.
