I don't get UGA being the favorite. I know the analytics like them, but they just lost by three scores to Alabama the game before last.

Why does the NC game happen on a Monday? I assume it's not wanting to compete with the NFL but that doesn't make sense to me. If you're asking UGA and Bama fans to pick between the Falcons and the...Saints/Titans/Falcons (?!?), they're all watching the Natty. While I wouldn't put the NC against the 1pm or 4pm Sunday NFL slots, it doesn't seem like an issue to go up against 1 NFL game on Saturday or SNF.

Wild card weekend averages outdraws the national championship game most years. Sure UGA and Bama fans will pick the championship game, but most fans won't.

When I picked the Texas Bowl ages ago, it was LSU -1. Now I see Kansas State -7.

Should I assume that two-thirds of the LSU team left to get an early start on the international dialectics program at the Sorbonne?

They're down to 39 scholarship players, none of them who play QB. (QB will be one of two walk-ons, or a converted WR). Top RB Price is out too.

Stingley is out too, and their top tackler.

Apparently Tim Hasselbeck and at least one of his OL teammates got thrown out of the ‘99 ASG for being too boisterous. And they we’re wearing tie die shirts and wigs.

Elisabeth must have been attracted to such a wild and crazy guy.

That game last night drew 52K. Surprising given what a weak team LSU put out there and K-State being only 6-6 themselves. And there's a lot more fun places to go to than Houston.

Not sure if this was covered in another thread, but I thought it was interesting that bowl game ratings are generally up over last year. The NY6 bowls were up over 2019 also, so it’s not just less pandemic and political news than last year. CFP semifinal ratings were down from last gear, but that might just be a reflection of two non-competitive games.

The semifinal games this year were on New Years Eve and last year they were on New Years Day. I think that's probably the primary reason for the ratings dip.

I'll be halfway paying attention to tonight's game - it's a boring repeated machup that I can't care much about. I expect Alabama to win by 10 or so.

This ESPN Hulu app is so dumb. The background for the college football channels is white and so are the words so I can’t figure out where to go to view the command center.

Figured it out, but apparently I’m not authorized to view the command center w/ DirecTV. I can watch the coaches room, however.
