With that out of the way, some very fun matchups. Penn State - Iowa will be a fistfight. I expect Georgia to steamroll Auburn. Pig vs Kifflin will be a good game, I think, along with West Virginia v Baylor.

Piggy Kiffy reminds me of the 3rd place game at the World Cup.

A lot of interesting games this week.

This is the big game for AR...they need to prove they can win on the road in the SEC (Dallas doesn't count), and they need to prove they can rebound from an ass whipping. Woo Pig!

Notre Dame on the ACC Network? Michigan-Nebraska presumably getting Fowler and Herbstreit in ABC prime time? CBS using its one prime time slot of the season (IIRC) on a game involving unranked Texas A&M? Some strange television decisions this week.
CBS had to pick their one prime time weekend prior to week one - they figured either Aggie would be good, or that Auburn would be able to give Georgia a game. Neither of those really panned out, so this is where they are. Take the Bama game figuring it will draw more eyeballs than Auburn-Georgia at this point. Gary Danielson explained it yesterday on Mad Dog's afternoon show.

Thanks for the explanation.

ND's NBC contract is for their home and neutral games, so they are at the mercy of the other conferences that they play. Surprised that FSU/UNC didn't get moved to ACCN as that game is on ESPN.

I would think that Fowler/Herbstreit will be calling OU/Texas at Noon on ABC especially since that is where GameDay is.

Yes, CBS picks their prime time game before the season and Texas A&M was supposed to be ranked at least in the top 10 at this point in the season but they have been really disappointing. Last year, they actually had 2 primetime games with Alabama/UGA on 10/17 at 8 pm and Alabama/LSU at 6 pm on 11/17. In 2019, they had ND at Georgia.

That's my point - why ESPN wouldn't pick a ranked Notre Dame over FSU and UNC is very strange to me.

Fair point about Fowler/Herbstreit going to Texas - I hope you're right.

That UConn line seems way off to me. I have it over a TD and would still like the Huskies there, 38-21.

I hate Oklahoma. The state, the university, their color, that fucking song the band plays 492,253 per game. I hate everything about it. Bunch of methhead land thieves, they are.

UMass-UConn getting cancelled for COVID and both finishing winless would be amazing.
Well we know both have an open date the week after the season ends. Not like either one is headed for a conference title game or a bowl game. The game would most likely eclipse the Mirage Bowl* of 1978, where one of the participants, BC, was winless.

*it really was a regular season game, in Tokyo, but the sponsors called it that

Not sure I've mentioned it here before but my wife is a Hawkeye - fired up for this afternoon! I'm a Michigan (grad school) grad, but I honestly root for Iowa over Michigan at this point (thanks Harbaugh!).

My SO and I met at the Texas/OU game in 1987 when we were students at Texas. We lost 44-3. I ended up marrying someone else. After that marriage fell apart we got back together and a few years ago I proposed to her at the Texas/OU game in the same seats where we met. We're getting married as soon as we can swing it. True story.

Texas offense better score a TD here because they should’ve had it on the punt block.
