Right. Kind of an unreal call. Or is there some college rule where ball goes back to point of first contact for spotting?
Yeah if the rule was that if your knee is down the pass is complete where you were down not where you completed then (1) correct call (2) dumb rule.

But the broadcast ref did not say that.

They keep showing the replay zoomed from the ground-level at like mid-field (TD review). Is there another angle? If there was ever a case for staying with the call on the field…

It was very close. Thought it might have been short but need sideline angle.
No overturn from those crappy angles.

Regardless, that is totally on Michigan, zero excuse for not scoring a TD in that close.

That's on them.
Yeah. TCU run defense after the first play has been great. Michigan offense line is jumpy and they tried to go too fast.

Orange Bowl is in the middle of a tough neighborhood, and with no bars/restaurants. No hotels. Not pedestrian friendly. If it's a Dolphins afternoon game, it's ok, but at night it's a very boring college football experience. U Miami needs to build a stadium in Coral Gables, walking distance from the students.
Also, F Stephen Ross. Although I hear there is an F1 track around the stadium now.
What's around that stadium in terms of neighborhoods? Seems like it's far away from most things (restaurants and bars, as you stated).

Then Alabama scored three TDs in three minutes of game time, also Vaughn maybe just got hurt. 35-10 now.
So much for wearing out the defense by controlling the clock. KSU's defense played like THEY were on the field for a 10 minute drive, not Alabama.

This score, despite the odd early 4th and goal playcall by Michigan, doesn't feel like a fluke.

TCU maybe just better?

Kinda feels like a Michigan really needs points here.

Though the long halftime giving TCU time to think could work in Michigan’s favor I guess. Still if TCU starts with possession up 18, that is a big hole. Even FG here would be big for Michigan.

So officials have access to all of the camera angles for every D1 game...I went and took a look and the ESPN pylon cam is best, though fuzzy. Piece it together with the broadcast angle and he does look short, so I stand corrected. Would be nice of ESPN to show it.

Thanks. Yes, ESPN shoul do a better job. Really bad that they can't be bothered and just show those two angles.
