Ever since that terrible non-call when SU's QB got drilled out of bounds with no flag at Clemson, Syracuse has been dog crap.

I have been a little busy and am just seeing that BC beat NC State. That’s great. I have no idea how it happened but props to them.

First time seeing this Syracuse coach. Strange dude. Upon being asked why his team is getting their ass kicked so bad he says “the players need to do what they were coached to do”

FSU just ran a Philly special on 4th and goal up 28 and I have to assume it is because of Syracuse coach icing kicker at end of first half among other nonsense

Florida State won back to back road games 45-3 and 38-3. Amazing.

Syracuse has lost 4 in a row.
FSU went to backup QB with 5 minutes left in 3rd. This could have been worse and mostly because Syracuse was awful not that Noles were great. They played solid but SU was truly terrible. Have fallen hard since 6-0. I don’t watch them but something must be up, they played like they don’t practice.

NC
UNC wins the final ACC Coastal division title (ACC ditching divisions starting next year) after beating Wake in Winston-Salem.

I see the world through blue turf lenses, but Taylen Green will be a 1st round draft pick in 2025 (if not before)

A lot of it has to do with them losing their QB. He went out in the Clemson game I believe.

My new favorite thing is watching the Pac 12 highlights on Sunday morning without knowing who won the games. Win or lose, UCLA is fun to watch. I'm legitimately excited for USC-UCLA next weekend.

ND has a great defense and special teams, but is extremely limited by the talent at quarterback and wide receiver. The Naval Academy was able to play man coverage often with no safety help and challenge the receivers to get open and for Pyne to get the ball out fast. It was a disaster. (This was very similar to Marshall’s game plan.)

Now the current coaching staff isn’t responsible for the wide receivers talent gap and indeed more talented players already are on the way.

Quarterback recruiting is less clear. CJ Carr is committed for 2024, but 2023 is empty. Rees is partially responsible for the bad QB room through poor evaluations (Buchner over McCarthy) and having Jurkovec transfer out. Freeman also didn’t prioritize a transfer QB last offseason. Getting a transfer QB should be priority number one for 2023.
Don’t know I how missed this, but it’s spot on. The lack of an elite Qb continues to plague the program, and I think is the primary thing that prevents them from seriously contending for another national championship. That can cover being a little less elite and explosive at WR. But in most other areas, they’ve recruited pretty well for a decade. Somehow, and likely through the transfer portal as you point out, they need to get that “guy”.

The good news is that things have already improved since last weekend. Four-star quarterback Kenny Minchey decommitted from Pitt then immediately scheduled an official visit, so that is looking promising for 2023.

Being deficient at QB is not a horrible situation. It’s the most important position, but it’s also the easiest to fix in the transfer portal. ND needs to be very aggressive this offseason. Think about how much better this year’s team would have been with one of Jalon/Jaydon/JT Daniels or even Henry Colombi.
