Cahill, Oh Cahill. Batshuayi just wasn't able to hold the ball at all to take pressure off and it let them just keep coming at the in-flux back line. Morata settled the entire side, but it was a bit too little too late. Christiansen looked okay as did Rudiger, but things were pretty much a mess as soon as Cahill went over the ball. Morata needs to be in the side over Batshuayi and well not averaging a 1.25 Red Cards a game would be a big step forward.

Will be interesting to see if this changes the outlook before the deadline. Apparently Oxlade-Chamberlain is an option, which is interesting from a squad depth perspective as he could fill a bunch of roles and add some experience and youth (only just about 24) 35 million pounds is a premium, but that is the homegrown tax at work.

Costa fined roughly 300,000 pounds, and ordered back to training, this feels like it will go swimmingly.

That would have been such a wonderful troll job had he actually come back.

Teams agreed terms today- he's off to Atletico. When he was on, guy could ball.

There isn't much of an appetite to be discussing Chelsea on this site, but I'm curious what others might think.
They just lost 3-0 at home to Bournemouth, a terrible result to be sure. They haven't looked good at home most of the year, so it was coming. They still have managed to be third in the league, make the semis of the league cup, move on in the FA cup, and start the next round of the Champions League.
I've been reading several comments, stating Conté has lost the team, and needs to go, and frankly, I can't believe it.
It's one thing with Wenger, whom I feel is a good 2 years past his expiration date, and another with Mourinho, who has proven to be enough of an asshole/sociopath to run himself out of any situation he obtains. I don't see how Conté merits this kind of treatment. He seems like a very good coach, and won the league in his first season. He hasn't exactly sucked.
Is it his war with Mourinho in the press? His personality and language difficulties? Or is it just what Chelsea is about under Abramovich?
I'm a bit of a fan, and sense they may come away empty handed this season, but is that such a disaster? If he wants to stay, I would definitely keep him on board.
Any thoughts?

The way I see it. The board makes all the personnel moves and Conte calls them out on their absurd moves. Last thing I read is he wants quality over quantity. I agree with him. Abramovich needs to decide if he wants to win consistently or make money. You don't get to do both in the Premier League. I personally don't care about the FA cup or whatever the other Cup is currently called so I don't see it as a disaster as long as we qualify for CL and don't get embarrassed by Barca in the next round of the current CL.
