If Fabregas and Hazard suddenly become a world class players again do they make themselves completely unmarketable?

Because this can't be repeated enough times...

European trophies won as Chelsea manager:
Rafa Benitez - 1
Jose Mourinho - 0

It continues to amaze me that someone so successful continually wears out his welcome at every stop within 3 years or so. The only parallel I could think of in American sports was Parcells, but his Giants stint was longer than anything Jose has done.

So, what's next for Jose? Bayern? PSG?

Bayern seems unlikely to me. I think Mourinho would clash a lot with the higher ups there and, from an off-field perspective, it would be very awkward to make the transition from Guardiola-ball to Mourinho-ball.

PSG seems like a good shout, if they sack Blanc. But I don't know whether that will happen, especially if the club has a decent run in the Champions League.

Jose would probably love to go to Manchester United if they sack Van Gaal. But it would take a lot for another Premier League club to hire him immediately and, from what I understand, Bobby Charlton hates him.

I wouldn't be that surprised if he took some time off and wound up eventually at a smaller club where Mendes is deeply connected, like Monaco, Atleti, or Valencia (if Jardim, Simeone, or Neville left for greener pastures sometime in the future and the job opened up).

That's a good one. Right down to Steinbrenner playing the role of Roman.

Portuguese national team?
England would be even more fun.

I've never thought his style would translate well to a national team, where you have limited training time to drill your system into the players, but anything's possible.

Not as successful, but a good match on Asshole Quotient. although we don't know Jose's views on foot fetishes.

So, Hiddink starts on monday and has a contract until the end of the season.
Interim manager for today is Steve Holland. After 5mins it´s 1-0 Ivanovic, after 13mins it´s 2-0 Pedro. Adios José!!!

Simeone is so much more Chelsea than Pep.

CFC's players aren't doing much to dispel the notion that they intentionally tanked to get Jose the fuck out of there.

Hazard and Fabregas better have a "no Ukraine" clause in their contract because if I were Abramovich, I'd be exploring how to sell them to a club that-needs-to-buy-a-vowel.

Can't sell them to a club without their consent (unlike US sports)

With the Blues win over Newcastle today, here is their record in all matches under Hiddink:

WDDWWDDWWDDW

It will be amazing if that can continue Tuesday against PSG. No Zouma. Terry left today's match after taking a boot to the forehead. Hazard still looking for his lost scoring touch.

Willian must be saying it is about time, as he has been the only player consistently playing well this season. Nice to say Pedro finally make a difference, I think the fans were too quick to jump on him for inconsistent form. If defensive injuries become long term will Guus play Miazga?
