Who gets the money?
The £2.5 billion upfront payment will go into a frozen account that is supposedly earmarked for Ukrainian aid charities, which can’t be tapped without government approval; who knows what that process will be:
Of the total investment being made, £2.5bn will be applied to purchase the shares in the Club and such proceeds will be deposited into a frozen UK bank account with the intention to donate 100% to charitable causes as confirmed by Roman Abramovich. UK Government approval will be required for the proceeds to be transferred from the frozen UK bank account.
The new owners also agreed to invest £1.75 into the team (stadium, academy, women’s team, etc.) over the next ten years, but again, who knows what the process is there and how that would be enforced:
In addition, the proposed new owners will commit £1.75bn in further investment for the benefit of the Club. This includes investments in Stamford Bridge, the Academy, the Women’s Team and Kingsmeadow and continued funding for the Chelsea Foundation.

Word on the street is that Pulisic has removed all references to Chelsea from his social media accounts.

The Pulisic stuff isn't true. He never had them in his bio to begin with, and he only changed his profile picture.

There had been links to Juventus but the Italian media is a disaster. Any reputable rumors?
I don’t see anything concrete, just the over excited dot connecting of clickbait rumor mongers. It does make sense for Chelsea to move some attackers in order to rebuild the defense once the sale goes through (mooted to be this week per the Guardian).

Pulisic has 2 years left on his deal at a reported £150k/week. I think he’s hard pressed to top that wage figure given his recent performances and injuries. But if he is willing to drop down a bit, he could have a wealth of options. Chelsea still has about £16m in amortized transfer fee on the book for Pulisic, so my guess is they’d be looking to get in the £40m range for our boy.

I'd much rather see Chelsea move on from Werner and/or Ziyech. Pulisic generates more scoring opportunities than either, and if he can work out his finishing, could really be special opposite Mount, who he seems to have great chemistry with.

The takeover is one step closer to being done, the EPL announces today it has formally approved the consortium under its owners and directors test:

Last hurdles should be getting the government to issue the license to approve the sale (which apparently couldn’t happen until the EPL approval came through) and the funds actually transferring. Everyone still seems to be saying it’s on track to close this week.

Latest update from the team is that the sale will be done on Monday:
Chelsea Football Club can confirm that a final and definitive agreement was entered into last night to sell the Club to the Todd Boehly/Clearlake Capital consortium. It is expected that the transaction will be completed on Monday. The Club will update further at that time.
https://www.chelseafc.com/en/news/2022/05/28/club-statement

I don’t quite understand the phrasing here (as I understood it, the agreement was already entered into and the closing mechanics were just being executed), but as I’m not an English solicitor, I’ll just go with the idea that it’ll be done on Monday, however it works over there.

edit: they also posted a farewell statement from Roman: https://www.chelseafc.com/en/news/2022/05/28/statement-from-roman-abramovich-

Apparently Real’s UCL win triggers another payment to Chelsea under the terms of the Hazard transfer, nobody seems to have exact figures but something in the range of £15-20 million seems to be the common figure thrown around.
