I am about 45 minutes behind (playing the FF game), but Najee Harris hurdle, holy cow.

To be fair who was really going to be competitive in this game against Alabama? A&M that already lost by 28, Cincy that lost to Georgia today? This was all really a formality for Alabama vs. Clemson again.
The argument is less "Cincinnati wouldn't have gotten blown out" and more "Notre Dame already got blown out by Clemson (and TAMU by Alabama), so we might as well let someone else get blown out in the Rose Bowl."

4 down lineman when Bama is spread out on 3&8 is too conventional. More LBs and DBs. Get wild.

Is Jones' arm worse than I thought? He loaded that up and it still didn't have much zip on it.

Nick Saban is a legitimately bad dude. Why are successful college coaches such dicks?
I mean, the job is convincing people that they should give you their children, so those children can do a dangerous job for no money and you can get paid millions for their labor.
The core of what it means to be a college football coach is a deeply immoral prospect, of course the people who are best at it are shitty people.

None of these coaches are convincing players to play. They are convincing them to play at a certain location.

Not sure what Bama was doing in the last 4 minutes, but it doesn't matter.

Disappointed that there weren't more possessions, but ND is smart to control the clock so the final score doesn't embarrass them.

Other than offensive line and running game, a little bit, this narrative that they have closed the gap on the truly elite programs since 2012 is nonsense. They are over matched athletically. 1 effing catch from their WRs in that half, no separation or chunk play ability. And their secondary cannot cover anybody. I can’t even blame Kelly anymore. The culture/landscape of CFB has permanently rendered them an also ran, I’m afraid.

Sure, because the system is set up to prevent them from getting paid. Arguing that it's not your fault while cashing the checks (bigger ones that actual professional coaches get in many cases) that exist specifically because you don't have to pay the labor still makes you a shitty human being and someone who has no shame.
The coaches may not have set up the system where the kids get exploited, but they are milking it for every penny they can get. There are no good people in top tier college athletics departments, they are all shitty people.

Kelly should have gone for it on the 2nd drive. Biggest error of the game.

No it's not

Chris Peterson
Bobby Bowden
Mack Brown
etc.
I used to live right behind the stadium in Tallahassee, Coach Bowden would ask me how I was doing when I would walk by if he was out there, it was surreal. Pre 9/11 we could go in the stadium any time during the week; I used to like to run the steps. This ends nostalgia story time.

Why don’t they press Smith and have someone back when he beats the press? This guy running free off the line will not be stopped.

Mac Jones not helping his draft stock at all. He looks like Jake Fromm, I don't see how you draft this guy in an early round.

Surtain going to be available at 10-15? He'd be a nice get if we can get decent value for Gilmore in a trade. And to ruffle the Fin feathers.
