The boards have looked livelier all night than they usually do in the garden.  Are the college/pro dimensions different?

Saturday could turn out to be the worst hockey day (pro and college, maybe OHL if the scumbag Max Domi does anything) for me basically ever. Let's go Friars.

Glad BU up 3 goals, not glad that B's draftee McIntyre sucks so far
He should get used to experiencing disappointment on that ice. :(

I thought NoDak came out strong in the second period and I felt, with the long change, BU was in trouble. ND scored that goal and I thought the floodgates were going to open. BU responded right away. Greer's shot was simply awesome and was in the net just as McIntyre was reacting to the pass. Really impressed with BU's resiliency with everything that NoDak threw at them. Eichel was very good, but I still think he can do more. Also, very happy that NoDak lost. Probably the worst fan base in college hockey.

Minor correction but it's Zane, not Zack. Wouldn't mind seeing him win the Hobey and then sign later that day with the B's but I have to think Eichel is the favorite.

Oh my God. I'm rooting for PC, but I I feel bad for the BU goalie.

He's shell shocked.

Was that tying goal the equivalent of the Weber TO against UNC? There's fluky plays and then there's things like that.

More like the Fred Brown pass to Worthy when the Heels beat Georgetown. Just a completely absent-minded flub.

O'Connor is going to need a lifetime of therapy. Poor kid.

Yeah. You play long enough you give up weak goals, bad goals, etc. But something like that you just don't ever see.

Nice job, announcer.

"Congrats to the Boston Uni... uhhh, excuse me, the Providence College Terriers."

When you look at it again, it almost looks like O'Connor poops the puck into the net.

Aahahahahahaha.  I realize their college kids and all, but I just don't have the ability to muster sympathy for BU hockey.  They've had theirs, and now we have one.

From Springfield to Providence
Hilarious posts, fellas. I'm shocked! BU had the game by the balls, but took their foot off of the pedal for (seemingly) the entire 3rd. After the "oops" goals, the Friars took off. That final top save by Gillies was nuts.

The whole telecast seemed geared toward an inevitable Terrier win. Not one fucking Friar-centered interview, aside from Leaman?

Awesome to see PC grab their first title.

Let me just say congrats to PC. The best championship runs are the ones that come out of nowhere.

I'm a UConn season tix holder and former Whaler fan, so having hockey brought back to CT was just awesome this year. I'd rather watch two Hockey East teams play than an AHL team play every night.

Looking forward to a lot of great road trips in the future.

I guess, but only if you count Beanpots.

So is that game-tying goal the worst goal allowed by a goalie in college history, when you consider how it happened and the timing of it?

Congrats to PC. If it had to be someone other than The Brotherhood, glad it was the team that took them out.

And fuck BU.

(yes, I'm still bitter over 2009)

Me, I'm bitter over 2015.  PC was gifted with an unfair draw that gave it home ice, while other better East teams (Quinnipiac and Harvard) had to go west to get eliminated.

Love my Friars, that's my hometown team, but I can't celebrate this one.

Congrats to PC. A good team that played well when it counted.

As a college hockey fan, having different champions over the recent seasons makes the tournament fun. If you can get in, you have a chance and school size doesn't matter.

As a long time BU fan, it's very encouraging to see what Quinn is doing there. He's brought the Terriers back from some dark days pretty quickly.
