That last goal was clearly offside, how did that not get called back?

And a penalty for a failed challenge. Wow.

right here
think they had it right the second time they explained it - delayed offiside because he hadn't entered the zone or touched the puck in the zone until the guy cleared the zone.

Not Lynn (or Ocean Side)
They blew that call. This is what 83.3 says:

“If, during the course of the delayed off-side, any member of the attacking team touches the puck, attempts to gain possession of a loose puck, forces the defending puck carrier further back into his own zone, or who is about to make physical contact with the defending puck carrier, the Linesman shall stop play for the off-side violation.”

If Makar doesn’t have “possession” of the puck, which is a ridiculous claim on its face and changes the conventional definition of possession in hockey, then he’s certainly attempting to gain possession of a loose puck while a teammate still hasn’t cleared the zone. Offsides. They missed that one.

They've been consistent with the tag up calls. Here's one below from last season, and there was another similar play by Marchand in a game this year that I haven't been able to find.

To be honest, the offside review is still the dumbest thing in hockey. Nichuskin being on or off by a few inches had impact on the outcome of the play.
