93.7 in Pittsburgh will be GOLD for the next few weeks. If the Pats win #6 (big if-no jinx) the entire city might sink into the the three rivers.

On the first onsides I thought the Steelers should have done that pooch onsides where you kick it to a spot and they all run to it. So even if you don't recover you still make the Jags pick up a first down.

It's really hard to pull off though.

I think the Steelers win with Harrison.
There were three best teams in the AFC all year. Patriots eked out a win in Pittsburg so they only have to play one of them. If the Jags can beat both the Patriots and Steelers on the road they are a worthy conference champ for sure.

Slow down the Jax running game with a gimpy Fournette and force Bortles to throw it. Keep Brady upright enough to score 20-something and I like our chances.

Tomlin's pink slip should be taped to the locker room door and he should be the last one to enter the locker room.

The kicking team can’t advance a recovered onside kick, right? I think their only hope was a squib kick to the end zone and then somehow beating the Jags guy to the ball.

I know the Jags have a chance to beat the Pats. That said, my sphincter will be much better off without having to worry about Bell, Brown and the rapist all week, not to mention JuJu and Bryant. I am glad they are dead.

Will be following the news on Fournette closely. Adrenaline can carry a guy through a half, but how is it going to feel tomorrow? How much practice time does he get? And so on. Looked appreciably different after he came back.

Not really, you can miss fro 47, or you can get a penalty with a runoff. Plus the game cant end in a penalty so you want to make it a 1 score game once you know onsides is a must.
It's about time. You can score a TD on a hal Mary on the first play after the onside. Not a FG.
It's not just time, it's odds of making it. You need the combination of 2 scores.

Clock is stopped at the 5 yard line with 47 seconds left; unless you do something dumb (like take a sack/grounding penalty...) you should have enough time to take a couple shots at the endzone and still have a little time to try to get into FG range after an onside. And the odds of one of those shots actually getting the TD are way higher than the odds of a hail mary after the onside.

Moving the Line
If the Penguins are 92 days away from their destination in the GEICO ad: Assuming the Penguins walk for all 24 hours of each day given a GPS wouldn't account for rest time, and the average waddling penguin speed is 2.4 miles per hour, they therefore need to go 5299.2 miles.

Play of the game, in a game of many huge plays: third and five, Jags deep, 7:45 left, 7 point game -- the little crossing route to Yeldon for 40 yards. Game and momentum changer.

I suspect you are underestimating how hard it is to score from the 5. If you get the on-sides, you aren't stuck with a hail mary if you have 30ish seconds on the clock, and that's why it is likely the better percentage play. You can run a few sideline plays or even one mid-field with a quick spike.

That said, if you do take 1-2 shots from the 5 I get it. But what you make sure your QB knows (and your OC calls) is take no chances, take no penalties, and run quick plays. They did none of those things.

Nobody was saying you don't take one shot from the five with :47. But you have to kick the FG from the 15 with :23.

If I can be a bit of a conspiracy theorist...I have to imagine the league will be on the Patriots side next week. Not that they need it, but none the less...I can’t imagine the league wanting Jax anywhere near the SuperBowl.

Can you imagine a Bortles vs. Foles matchup? Especially after the issues the league has had this year. That has to be their nightmare scenario.

Ain't no change in the weather

Well, there ain't no change in the weather
we be playin' in a dome

but the damn shame is

Not sure if Mr Brees got quite enough to win on the road,

I want nothing to do with the Vikings at home in the Super Bowl. Don't care who beats them in the playoffs, just want someone to beat them.
