Don't Game Thread In This Forum

Eh, I wouldn't get too upset over someone making a comment in the heat of the moment. Last week after his pick at the end of the 1st half I blurted out "JESUS, TOM, WHAT WAS THAT?!" in my living room. Doesn't mean I don't have the utmost admiration and appreciation for what he's done for the Pats. We're simple creatures.

Game threads are for ranting and raving, I tend to think most things said there shouldn't be held against people. Unless they bring that stupidity regular threads.

Some of the comments went beyond "that's a terrible pick" and into stuff that reflected on Brady's larger body of work:
"Brady has a massive and costly brain fart play in every playoff game it seems."
 
"Flacco outplayed Brady in our last playoff loss to the Ravens and he is doing it again.
"This is squarely on Brady."
 
"Brady is absolutely not clutch anymore. The DPI was bullshit but this potential loss is on Tom and he deserves any criticism he gets "
 
"Brady underthrowing Gronk for an INT has been a depressingly recurring playoff theme in recent years."
 
"Brady has been outplayed by Flacco in 4 straight playoff games "
 
The thread was disgusting. I had to bail at halftime. There were voices of reason in there, but some people just seem thrilled to be the first to shovel dirt on #12's grave.

You are far too kind. It's not just the chronic repetition of shit that is demonstrably not true, or the "it's just a game thread and I need to vent!" It is the gleeful anticipation of being the person who called it - like the jerkstore from the NO game last season who said "Brady quit on the team". 
 
Many of the same people quoted above lament how poor other sites' comment sections are - in a stunning lack of self-awareness. Some of them champion how much "better" SoSH is while dragging down the overall quality of the forum with their ridiculously emotional and stupid game threading - outside the GT forum.
 
Game threading is only acceptable in the game thread forum. This forum will continue to treat "game thread posts" like infectious agents. They will be burned and the carrier isolated. Because that shit spreads and it's not acceptable.

P.S. Let's not argue over this. It's a PSA. Take it as a call to improve or whatever but we're not doing specifics and the first person to name names gets a vacation for the rest of the weekend - and no game threads. Capiche?

Fair enough, I didn't mean to start anything. I only dip into a game thread a couple times a game, if that. So I'm no expert and I appreciate the desire to stomp out the nonsense that can ruin the rest of the board.
