Chris Mazza on the hill against Kyle Wright. One of the three million athletes named either Kyle or Wright.

Last 3 games of the Sox season, so enjoy it while you can, if you can (and I admit, it's hard.)

Today's Red Sox birthdays are huge: The amazing Lars Anderson, just like Michael Chavis without the religion, is 33 today.

Reggie Jefferson is 52 today.

But if that's not enough, today is Rocco Baldelli's 39th birthday. He's going to the playoffs and we aren't.

In non-baseball birthdays, we have Boston's own Barbara Walters, Will Smith, Michael Douglas and the one-two-three punch of Heather Locklear, Catherine Zeta-Jones and Cheryl Tiegs.

StatTracker put Acuna's blast at 495. It didn't make the concourse by a couple rows, but it was well into left-center. Sometimes I really doubt StatTracker's exact measurements, nonetheless.

Was anybody here alive during the Boston Braves days? What happened that made them move? I know they had just won the pennant right before it.
Wow. You might have a hard time finding anybody old enough to remember the Boston Braves who is on the internet, let alone SOSH. I was 10 years old when I became a Sox fan in 1967. The Braves moved when - in 1952?

I really hope JBJ is back in '21. He drives me nuts sometimes, but I love the guy.

I was nine years old in1953, but my parents were Europeans with no interest in sports. If I had been interested, I could maybe get the game of the week on one of the networks, I guess.

Yeah. Yesterday when they were talking about how they felt about their careers and when they patched Jim Rice in to join the talk was some of the best stuff I've heard from a baseball broadcast. I mean, when the games are compelling, it's pretty easy to keep my attention. This was a dud-ass ballgame, and I was riveted to what they were saying in the middle innings.

Non-memo-reading motherfuckers.
We ain't catching the Rangers and the Pirates have long since locked the door behind them. Now, it's just a matter of staying ahead of the D'backs
