5. Pittsburgh vs 12. Montreal
6. Carolina vs 11. New York Rangers
7. New York Islanders vs. 10. Florida
8. Toronto vs. 9. Columbus

Boston, Tampa Bay, Washington, Philly in the round robin.

We have live hockey on TV today!

Pittsburgh/Philly at 4 pm on NBCSN.
Toronto/Montreal at 8 pm but I don't think that's on here in the US.

Us YoutubeTV people are out of luck for tonight's game I guess.

No NBCSN or NHL Network on Youtube TV? Wife and I have been contemplating pulling the trigger on cutting the cord for Youtube TV.
NBSCN is definitely there, just no NHL Network. So we'll be fine with the games that count.

I have loved YoutubeTV, have had it for 2+ years now. The recent price hike kinda sucks but it's still better (and cheaper) than cable.

Thanks. Thinking about it, I rarely watch NHL Network anyways, just the occasional playoff game Thant ends up landing there. I think we’re going give Youtube TV a go with the free trial soon and then pull the trigger.

Are they changing ads ?

Heavy Pitt representation - UPMC, Highmark, Rivers Casino, PPG. Dicks sports
Key Bank is Cleveland
84 Lumber and Yuengling are central PA near Pitt

Comcast and Penn Med are clearly for PHL

As an aside, I am not at all confident in this Pittsburgh team beating Montreal in the play in round, which could lead to the Bruins playing the Canadiens in the first round, which could very quickly make watching hockey less fun.

They won't. Julien has owned the Pens for several years now.

Interesting note from Elliot Friedman on Tim & Sid today: The ice maintenance guys think that the lack of fans (body heat and entering/exiting the building) will make it a lot easier to keep the ice in good shape. They hope that that helps them manage 3 games/day.

I was just mentioning that today. The lack of fans is going to help the ice because the doors aren't open in the arena and there isn't 20,000+ people's body heat in there either.

I love the "above the neutral zone dots" filming angle they've been using. Makes the wideness of the rink a lot more visible and it really expanded my ability to see puck movement. We're gonna see it in the B's games too.

totally forgot about this!

Awesome to see hockey right now!

(Caps up 3-2 on Canes in the 3rd - NBC SN)

I like the way the empty sections look too, much better than MLB

right here
I tuned in 3 minutes late and missed a goal, something leading to 4 on 4, and a fight? Goodness.

Between here and everywhere.
Carolina is flying.

I wonder if the layoff will benefit younger teams. My thinking - older players need more time to ramp up into playing shape/getting the game conditioning back.

Probably wrong, but :shrugs:

First time in my life I'm at a place that has NHL Network (and NBC and NBCSN) but not Fox. So looks like a lot of NHL for me today.

CAR-RAGS has been decent so far.

That was stupid play by Fox. The drop and slide was fine, but you have to be ready to throw on the brakes so that doesn’t happen.
