Only I can think of is that TB concluded that Vasilevsky initiated the contact by sticking his arm out.
Columbus falling apart now. Take a Too Many Men penalty while trying to tie the game up 6-on-5.
The 5-1 shots advantage really isn’t doing it justice. The Capitals have barely touched the puck 6 minutes in.
They beat the Bruins because they always do but the Caps have looked like dog shit the whole time up there.
This one’s getting chippy. I didn’t really like the hit on Barzal from Hathaway. Not that I have a rooting interest, I just thought it was on the edge.
I don't think "I've seen him do worse" is tge mitigating statement that Moron Mike Milbury thinks it is.
This is every bit as dominant as the B's were last night. Islanders look dead on their feet. They are a different team when playing from behind.
He's such a treat to watch. He was my sister's favorite player and she barely knew what icing was but she had two Ovechkin posters and a sweater. So I took her to a random regular season game and we got down into the lower loge during warm-ups she was decked out in her Ovie sweater. He skated over and tossed her a puck and she was over the moon. So I'll never hate on Ovie but I'll be happy to hate on the Caps and Holtby.
My favorite Ovi thing is that he celebrates every goal like it's a OT playoff winner. Dude LOVES scoring goals. And it seems like he genuinely loves and enjoys playing hockey. It's hard to dislike someone like that.
Sorry if this is addressed somewhere, but if the Bruins win this round, are they playing the winner of the Islanders/Caps series no matter what? (That's what the Globe said today) I thought they were re-seeding after each round, so as the 4 seed they'd be playing the Flyers if all the favorites won?
They re-seed, but it's looking like the Islanders are gonna beat the Caps, which would mean the Bruins can't get Philly in Round 2.
Yep. IF the Bruins have to play Tampa, it's going to be an epic series. But it was also one I would have liked to avoid.
I’m happy that they stuck with the major there. I thought that hit sucked. Guy was following through with a dump in, it was 2 seconds late, and right on the numbers. Exactly the kind of guy that should get 5 and a game.
