East Quarterfinals Game Thread

Interesting word choice for "delay". (Although I do think it's a big bogus to have the same teams play second on three of the first four nights, and potentially be subject to delays in this manner.)
I'd like to retract the first part of this comment. If TB-CBJ goes into a fourth OT, and the B's don't get on the ice until after 10:00, and then the B's go multiple overtimes, that would be properly effed up.

I really hate Millbury's point. Ohh, it starts to not look like hockey. So let's do something completely not like hockey to get a winner.

There's been plenty of exciting opportunities this period as the result of tired players: lapses in coverage, turnovers, etc. For the love of god don't get rid of this.

Here
The no call on that 3 on 2 is ABSURD. He got dragged down by his neck and had a step on the defender.

Bruins/Canes personal watching from the zamboni entrance in the Bolts end. It’s like a junior tournament.

I got out of a meeting expecting to start game 1, instead I'm watching 3OT. Milbury is wrong. Inject OT hockey into my veins directly.

Sure looked like goalie interference there, but the Lightning are going to have to literally gore someone in order to get called.

Imagine being Mike Millbury and not enjoying this.
Only the NHL would have its announcer bagging this on a national broadcast

That would've been one of the best goals ever. 1 second left in 3OT. But no.......

Between here and everywhere.
Apparently the league said they will start a game as late as 11:00 pm. Means this game would have to still be going around 9:30, so we’ve still got 2 overtimes before that happens.
I have to imagine this will benefit the Bruins, as I'm sure its passed the bed time of many Canes players and thusly they will be playing shorthanded.

Why is 1.5 hours the necessary time between games?

I know it goes without saying but it really is amazing how well conditioned these guys are. 50 minutes at this level is nuts.

Reminds me of the B's/Blackhawks game from the SCF during which I drank an entire 12 pack of Coors on a school night.

Upon opening the fridge for the last one, I loudly exclaimed "WHO THE FUCK DRANK ALL MY BEER?"

And the B's lost. Not a good night.
