Probably Toronto Edmonton in the final so no way Canada can fuck up breaking their long suffering streak

Yeah after that first round, the first thing I think is "man the top seeds should cruise!"

People are underestimating New Jersey. They are really good. The only question mark is Schmid.
The biggest question mark is the coach, who does stupid things like "continue to play Miles Wood even though he's statistically the worst player in the entire league".

Young, fast team that is learning to put it together in their 1st playoff run. Didn't have a lot of confidence in Vanecek and was hoping he'd catch lightning in a bottle. Right idea, wrong goalie. Dispatching the Rangers was huge to this team (and fan base, to be honest), with the B's out there's nobody left I'd consider a heavy favorite.

They can make the finals if the pixie dust doesn't fall off Schmid.

Between here and everywhere.
1-0 Florida. They killed 2 penalties then followed it up with the kind of shifts we saw all last series.
Marchand said it in his exit interview today. They were a 122 point team last season who added Matthew Tkachuk. They're a good team who struggled with injuries during the season and seem to be turning it on now.

The Bruins may be able to learn from how they handle the regular season vs. the postseason this year.

Absolutely. If they could somehow return a similar roster, I think they’d bounce back better after seeing how that series played out. It just sucks how bad their cal situation is.

Panthers mental toughness is really impressive. Ultimately, their goaltending might do them in, but they are a pretty neat team as a neutral observer.

I don’t know how you guys do it. I love playoff hockey but I can’t stomach of any of it this week. Maybe by the weekend I’ll come around. For now all I can do is check the score and read here.

Panthers definitely need to overcome the officials this series, too. Two blatant trips literally within 2 seconds go uncalled.

I was gonna say, everyone must have iron balls but me. There's nothing I'd less rather watch. Nothing.

A friend of mine wrote to me today and said: "I feel like the victim of a terrible breakup, ... going along and things seem okay, then it hits me all over again with that sinking, empty feeling that it's over."

That seems about right, but I can't quite let go so here I am snooping around what might have been.

You know, the Bruins defense played like piss largely, but they stayed in the games and always competed and I thought Florida pretty much played its A game. I can live with that after a day or so of mourning. Like if the Sixers play like they did last night and win the series, it'll be the same way.

Stunned Toronto didn't review that goal for interference and find a way to call it back.

I think the Panthers are exactly as advertised - top 10 offense, meh defense, old & inconsistent goaltending. They'll be a handful every round they stay alive.

I'm just confused why our defense couldn't handle a sneeze, really, all series.

If Florida wins the whole thing, we can say we were 2nd best.

I'm rooting for a Dallas (Oettinger/Seguin) Florida final. Ok with the Kraken

The other 3 eastern teams not a fan of.

I think overall the Bruins defense handled them better than that when 28 was on the bench.
