And GJGE Letang. Follow the puck a little more and leave the guy you were draped on two seconds earlier.

Jokinen was just kind of standing around behind the net watching too. He finally weakly reached for the puck after the 2nd rebound.

The Jackets are better than Pittsburgh.  A lot better.  They might not win the series (like New York last year) but they're the better team.

Columbus is so much better than Pittsburgh that they were able to come within 16 points of the Pens in the regular season. Last year's Penguins, who had 1.5x as many wins as the Islanders and beat them in the playoffs, were also the inferior team. Got it.

The sooner you figure out how meaningless the regular season is the better.  The Blue Jackets have outplayed Pittsburgh both games.  They're bigger, they're faster, they're younger, they're hungrier.  They've made Crosby and Malkin pull another disappearing act.

And yes the Islanders outplayed Pittsburgh.  The Penguins power play and Nabokov being a sieve were the only reasons they didn't get eliminated.

Having a goalie who couldn't stop the puck in Nabokov is exactly part of the reason the Islanders were a worse team. You overlook all the faults of other teams and pull the woe-is-Pittsburgh act, the most pathetic team in recent NHL history, after every loss. It's old and tired.

Simmonds didn't hit Dorsett hard, but it appeared it put him off balance enough to cause him to trip over his own skates and fly into the boards. He was moving his skates together to stop and it was just bad timing. I doubt anything gets called if he doesn't trip.

Simmons touches a Ranger and magically he goes face first into the boards.

Yeah Dorsett pretty blatantly flopped there after shoving Giroux post-whistle.

Hallmarks of a Vigneault-coached team.

I don't think he flopped, I think he legitimately tripped over his own skates, but if you do think it was a flop as a ref, can't you just call the dive? I wish refs had the balls to do that more.

The Rangers HF board is melting down. Lots of animosity towards everyone and everything. Not a good situation, considering the *Rags* were up 2-0.

I don't think it's a penalty-worthy dive in the run of play, just something that contributes to post-whistle nonsense and deserves a matching roughing or unsportsmanlike minor

Richards showing exhibit A of "why you don't play point guys for the entire PP" with his sorta-backcheck on Hall. Great save by Henrik
