Haven't been watching, but the kids are almost down for the night. Nova's been up big all game, but seems like it might be a great finish.

I mean, Villanova played really good defense. But if Houston - who had some WIDE OPEN looks - even shot just horribly instead of unconscionably atrocious, they win this game. If they just go 4-20 (20%), they likely win. They went 1-20 and lost. I don't know if this bodes well for Villanova moving forward, because they do play great D and they play really tough, hard-nosed basketball. But also, they can't expect to watch opponents shoot this poorly again.

But I picked them to go to the National Championship game so I gotta keep riding them I guess. Hope that injured player is ok, but I'm not optimistic.

Villanova had only 15 baskets. Just one every 2:45 or so.

They may free throw their way to a championship. Such an under rated aspect of the tournament. They remind me a lot of the 2014 UConn team. Better during the regular year but some similarities in how they win.

It was an ugly game but how about Villanova? There is no reason that they should be an epicenter of college basketball.

We miss the better story in sports sometimes. Coach K, Gonzaga, the nonstop blathering about the football schools.

Meanwhile, a small enrollment school has been under the radar excellent for fifty years. Even with two recent championships. Yeah, some lean years in the 90s, but that is now final fours in 5 of the last 6 decades.

I am curious if Moore tore his Achilles
Reports seem to say he did. Have never been able to understand why college kids sometimes get this old man-type injury.

A guy I was playing softball with tore his one game. He had no clue what had happened, thought the ball had hit him (the ball was 100 feet away from him).

Once Duke passed the test of coming back on Michigan St. it was all over for everyone else. They're clowning the elite defensive teams of college basketball now.
