Scoreboard watching is a bit silly at this point in the season, but the MFYs also lost tonight.

The last ball the yankees hit into the outfield was a Hicks pop out to start the 7th inning.

It's not a hype train ... it's pragmatic realism vs knee-jerk reactionary posting
I have a deserved rep for being negative generally but I do think the additional wild card makes a HUGE difference. A team can kind of limp along and then just pull it all together before the playoffs. And this team has a lot of pieces coming back

I still can’t get the lack of urgency relative to 1B and RF. I just don’t get it.

Really nice watching Michael Kay in post game after a Yankees loss to the Red Sox.

That's @E5 Yaz and he's been here forever and that's how he...................ah nevermind.

Water.
He's made fun of about 200 of my posts* and not once have I felt the need to say the equivalent of "I know you are but what am I?"

He'll take the over

In a game thread. Where a bunch of people made a bunch of comments just as stupid. But thanks for stopping by to celebrate a great win!!
Because X has had no history on the Red Sox?

Does suck though that we can't all just be happy that the MFRed Sox just stole a game in the Bronx.

edit: especially on ANOTHER night that Aaron Boone gets thrown out for arguing balls and strikes.

He takes more heat than any other player on the team in the game threads but tip your cap to Bobby tonight. 2-5, huge home run and made a great defensive play on X’s ill advised throw that with how bad he is at first and with how poorly they have played D this week, that ball gets away from him 9/10 times.

The double play? That was Schreiber manning first.

Probably less lack of urgency and more lack of sellers. There are teams who are still on the fence as to weather they are buyers or sellers and until that gets figured it out the market is still in flux.

I said in my response it was a stupid comment, but there were plenty to go around by different people, tonight, and every night. The primary issue I have is exactly what you said in your second sentence. I called out the comment in real time myself, but to pop in and focus on that instead of a great win makes no sense to me. It's a game thread. Kinda part of the package since forever.

Oh well.
