It's Newcastle. I hate to say it, but it's Newcastle--read up and you'll agree. Just know that we are deep in the Gorman era at the moment.

If I was starting fresh, Aston Villa would be in the consideration set. Cool name, great fans name: Villains, claret & blue, no know overt douchiness (to my knowledge), except maybe Grealish's haircut.

Ouch...and I stuck up your you in this thread
I know, but you dissed my team at the same time, so I was conflicted! All kidding aside, I've been feeling for you, as it appears Wednesday are all but assured of the drop to the 1st Division. I've been rooting for them to no avail. As a North American, it can be hard to naturally hate all your club's historic rivals. There are so many Yorkshire clubs near Leeds- can I possibly hate them all? But with your, er, leadership, I've learned to like the Owls and hate the Pigs.
And I know the giant man-crush you have for Bielsa.
My hope is to one day catch a game at Elland Road, and learn firsthand what detestable meatheads Leeds' fans are.

As suggested back in the origin of this thread six years ago, Everton. Deep roots, passionate fans, a culture as "The People's Club," old, bear-pit stadium that's probably the closest thing to Fenway in the PL (it's the oldest football-only stadium in the world, a shiny new stadium has just been approved), habitually just outside of the Big Six (one pundit refers to the battle for the seventh-place spot as the "Everton Cup), so good enough to challenge, not completely futile, but a propensity for shooting themselves in the foot that adds that pre-2004 Sox-ish touch of masochism to the fan experience, managed by Carlo Ancelotti, one of the game's all-time greats and just a great guy to root for, history of American players, exciting young talent, historic rivalry (albeit one sided lately) with Liverpool, whose stadium is about 1000 feet away, etc.

Here's some receipts.
