Did both managers pick their tactics perfectly to counter? Can neither team execute? Have none of these players ever played together before?

What the hell am I watching? This is a mess.

California. Duh.
Eh, I'll take a scoreless half. Survived the adventures of Skrtel and Mignolet with the ball at their feet, at least.

Well, Man U definitely looks like a team without strikers. I don't know what the hell Liverpool looks like.

Liverpool are lacking creativity entirely. Firmino doesn't retain possession long enough to do his thing - have a feeling that will be the theme of his first few months.

Definitely will take 0-0 at this point

Liverpool's entire attack hinges on Coutinho getting the ball on his right foot from 22 yards. They have nothing otherwise. I'm looking forward to the two or three halves that Sturridge is able to play before his next injury.

45 minutes, 3 total shots, 0-0. Most boring half of the season?

Although, as a certified Manc-hater, I'd be happy to see Liverpool leave with a boring 0-0 draw.

Actually, I believe he said it would take something special to upstage or surpass Benteke but Martial did.

Pretty clear handball on Mascherano, arm clearly away from his body and struck directly by the ball. Uncalled

Atleti rightfully lost the match as I thought Barca were better. But it took a brilliant Neymar free kick to tie the match, then a bit of bad luck on Messi'd goal (ball was deflected around a bit before the pass to Suarez).

I want to see Atleti use its firepower. Put Gabi (or Tiago) on the bench and play more creatively with Vietto, Oliver Torres, Saul, and Correa. The team is immensely talented but really let Barca dictate the match.

Leicester absolutely dominating AVL in the last 30 min. They just completed a comeback down 2-0 to take a 3-2 lead in the 89th minute. A great chip in and header by Dyer as he gets trucked by Guzan. Possibly concused as he laid on the ground for a few min after the goal went in.

As an aside, Guzan looked hapless on the cross in. He appeared to just run into Dyer and not even attempt to get the ball. The more I see the less I like him starting for USMNT.

Btw LC is now in second place in the PL. wow.

Leicester comeback was such fun to watch. Mahrez is such a threat and Dyer was inspired. Agree on the Guzan concern...

All you jerks better be rooting for Newcastle tomorrow so that we can all see Chelsea fall into the drop zone.

I've just noticed that Sky (in the UK) has a special "Tactical Cam" interactive option for the West Ham v Newcastle game - you can still hear the live commentary, but instead of the normal director's choice of camera shots you just get a high-angle camera from midfield showing what I guess you'd call the All-22 view of the pitch. Really interesting.
