Group A finishing its round robin today (odds are consensus odds from Vegas Insider):

Italy v Wales
Noon ET, ESPN
Italy -200, Wales +650, Draw +280

Turkey v Switzerland
noon ET, ESPN2
Switzerland -145, Turkey +380, Draw +300

3 points for the Swiss probably gets them a spot in the knockout round. I’d take them -145 to get that done. I like +280 for a draw in Italy-Wales.

Mancini makes 8 changes, a benefit of winning the first two matches. He’s also quite pragmatic, so I expect Italy to be a little more conservative with the ball today knowing that a draw suits both teams.

Wales rotate 3 guys who are on yellows.

Italy: Donnarumma; Toloi, Bonucci, Bastoni, Emerson; Verratti, Jorginho, Pessina; Bernardeschi, Belotti, Chiesa

Wales: Ward; Gunter, Rodon, Ampadu; Roberts, Mrell, Allen, Ramsey, N Williams; Bale, James

Swiss up 1-0.

After a slow start, Italy-Wales has picked up. The Italian bench players seem intent on making an impression, and the Welsh keep probing for the counter. I still think both sides will be happy with a draw, but try telling that to Chiesa.

Shaq makes it 2-0. Brutal tournament for Turkey. They will have a lot to think about after this.

And Turkey gets one back.

This is surprisingly more action than I expected today. Figured Italy and Wales would just pass around for 90 minutes.

The quality of play at this tournament has been very high so far. (I probably just jinxed it.)

Italy now 30 in a row unbeaten! Credit to Wales who played hard and were a little unfortunate to have a player sent off - finishing 2nd in this group is a nice feat.

Champion was quite enthralled about Donnarumma's PSG physical. Starting the rumor that PSG uses gold-plated stethoscopes
