California. Duh.
Zaza had one job. One.
Asking a guy to sit around for 120 minutes then have his first touch be from the penalty spot may not be the brightest idea.

If you want to sub a specialist in, give him 5 minutes to run around before the shootout, at least.

Do you think Gudjohnsen feels weird to be the only player on the team who is not a "son"?

Also, why do announcers and FIFA, and the jerseys, use last names for Iceland players?

I think maybe this entire tournament is calculated to cause the maximum possible misery for England fans.

When they are all playing well AG, Giroud, Payet, Pogba, Matuidi is just an unstoppable juggernaut.

Iceland played their frozen balls off that game. Putting up 2 on France like that, even with the defensive miscues, and going hard for all 92', was impressive. Talk about an honorable defeat - how many sides outside the world top 10 can do that kind of damage to France's defense? Pretty Boy also didn't take kindly to some flopping and exaggeration by (Payet?), which I appreciated.

So here are the ranks of our semifinalists:

Germany - #2 Elo, #2 FIFA
France - #4, #17
Portugal - #13, #8
Wales - #21, #26

Eliminated:
Italy - #7, #12
Spain - #8, #6
England - #10, #11
Belgium - #14, #2 (?!)
Croatia - #16, #27 (tie)
Poland - #18, #27 (tie)

(and DNQ - Netherlands #9 #14)

Really disappointed about Aaron Ramsey. Against that class of competition, we deserve to see what a full-strength Wales could really bring.
